I don't know if we should continue this potentially dangerous thread. The Hindu Muslim overtones are inflammatory, and will get 'inflamed' answers from Muslims who do not know they are being manipulated.

These are critical components of nation formation and directly related to a very complex series of interactions in international trade with various Indian regions and various colonial rulers involved.
The difficulty is to keep out the efforts to set alight the relationships between members and get them quarreling about religion and about the two nation states of India and Pakistan.
