POST WAR assessment of recent conflict.

I think you need to look at it from a positive side - this conflict indicated the recklessness of the extremist terrorist Hindutva group (Modi's RSS Nazi equivalent). No sane world power could have anticipated this irrational behaviour from these stupid Hindu extremists. No one expects nuclear powers to be attacking each other - insane in the real world.

Pakistan was looking at this from a rational side, not expecting anything like this from another nuclear power - as this inevitably results in a nuclear war. A nuclear war has no winners - unfortunately south Asians think they are firecrackers.

Pakistan maintained deterrence against the recent Indian attack through a combination of decisive military actions, strategic signaling, and diplomatic efforts. Here’s a firm response detailing why and how Pakistan achieved this:

Why Pakistan Maintained Deterrence:

1. Credibility of Deterrence: Pakistan needed to demonstrate that its deterrence capabilities are credible and effective. By responding to the Indian attack, Pakistan aimed to show that any aggression would be met with a decisive response, thereby maintaining the credibility of its deterrence posture.

2. Strategic Stability: Ensuring strategic stability in the region is crucial. By maintaining deterrence, Pakistan aimed to prevent further escalation and maintain a balance of power, which is essential for regional peace and security.

3. Domestic and International Pressure: There was significant domestic pressure on the Pakistani government to respond to the Indian attack. Additionally, maintaining deterrence was important to signal to the international community that Pakistan is capable of defending its sovereignty and responding to threats.

How Pakistan Maintained Deterrence:

1. Military Response: Pakistan conducted calibrated military responses, including airstrikes and missile tests, to demonstrate its readiness and capability to respond to any aggression. These actions were carefully measured to avoid full-scale war while still sending a strong message.

2. Nuclear Signaling: Pakistan leveraged its nuclear capabilities as a deterrent. By highlighting its full-spectrum deterrence posture, which includes tactical nuclear weapons, Pakistan aimed to deter further Indian aggression and maintain strategic stability.

3. Diplomatic Efforts: Pakistan engaged in diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation and garner international support. By involving international mediators and emphasising the need for peace, Pakistan aimed to manage the crisis effectively and avoid further escalation.

Through these measures, Pakistan was able to maintain deterrence and prevent the situation from escalating into a full-scale conflict. This approach underscores the importance of credible deterrence, strategic stability, and effective crisis management in maintaining peace and security in the region.

India was taken aback by the intensity and precision of Pakistan's military response to the recent attack. Here’s a detailed look at how India experienced shock and awe:

1. Unexpected Military Precision

Pakistan's military response was marked by unexpected precision and effectiveness. The use of advanced missile systems and airstrikes targeted key Indian military installations, demonstrating Pakistan's capability to conduct high-impact operations. This level of precision was unexpected and caused significant concern within Indian military circles.

2. Drone Warfare

Pakistan's deployment of drones added a new dimension to the conflict. India was surprised by the effectiveness of Pakistani drones in targeting Indian positions and intercepting Indian drones. The use of drones for surveillance and direct attacks showcased Pakistan's technological advancements and strategic planning.

3. Tactical Nuclear Signaling

Pakistan's strategic signaling, including the potential use of tactical nuclear weapons, created a sense of urgency and caution within India. The clear communication of Pakistan's readiness to escalate if necessary forced India to reconsider its approach and seek ways to de-escalate the situation.

4. Diplomatic Maneuvering

Pakistan's diplomatic efforts to garner international support and highlight India's aggression played a crucial role in shaping global perceptions. The swift engagement with international mediators and calls for restraint put India in a difficult position, as it faced increasing pressure from the global community to de-escalate.

5. Psychological Impact

The psychological impact of Pakistan's response was significant. The rapid and effective countermeasures demonstrated Pakistan's resolve and capability, causing shock and awe among Indian military and political leaders. This psychological effect was compounded by the visible damage to Indian military infrastructure and the loss of several warplanes.

6. Strategic Communication

Pakistan's strategic communication was clear and assertive, emphasizing its readiness to defend its sovereignty and respond to any aggression. This firm stance, coupled with the effective military actions, left India in a state of shock and forced it to reassess its strategy and seek diplomatic solutions.

Through these measures, Pakistan was able to create a significant impact, demonstrating its military capabilities and strategic resolve.
Hence, Deterrence was re-established.

In addition, Pakistan achieved several significant accomplishments that demonstrated its military capabilities and strategic prowess. Here are some of the key achievements:

1. Aircraft Shot Down

Pakistan successfully shot down Five-six Indian aircraft, showcasing its air defence capabilities and the effectiveness of its fighter jets and missile systems.

2. S-400 Systems Targeted

Pakistan managed to target and damage/destroy India's advanced S-400 air defence systems. This was a significant blow to India's defence posture, as the S-400 is one of the most sophisticated air defence systems in the world.

3. Drone Warfare

Pakistan effectively utilised drones for surveillance and direct attacks, successfully targeting Indian military positions and intercepting Indian drones. This demonstrated Pakistan's technological advancements and strategic planning in modern warfare.

4. Hypersonic Munitions

Pakistan deployed precision-guided hypersonic munitions from its JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, successfully hitting key targets and demonstrating its advanced strike capabilities.

5. Missile Strikes

Pakistan conducted precise missile strikes on Indian military installations, causing significant damage and disrupting Indian military operations. These strikes highlighted Pakistan's ability to conduct high-impact operations with precision.

6. Cyber Operations

Pakistan engaged in effective cyber operations, targeting Indian communication networks and disrupting their command and control systems. This showcased Pakistan's capabilities in cyber warfare and its ability to counter hybrid threats.

7. Diplomatic Success

Pakistan's diplomatic efforts to highlight India's aggression and garner international support were successful. The swift engagement with international mediators and calls for restraint put India in a difficult position, leading to increased pressure from the global community to de-escalate the situation.

These accomplishments underscored Pakistan's military capabilities and strategic resolve, demonstrating its readiness to defend its sovereignty and respond effectively to any aggression.

This was the response the Indians were not expecting. They tried to set a new norm which was smashed.
Pakistan just now needs to ready itself that if there is another impending attack - then Pakistan goes rapidly hard in all areas and covey that the escalation ladder is at a higher level - does India wants to back to the stone age??? Let them keep thinking...psyops!

First of all I would like to send my thanks to all the brave service-members that withstood the assault by the vicious saffron enemy. You proved why we can't let our defense down no matter how much the West, their puppets in the Arab world want us to. These so called "Muslims" would need their influence to end sooner or later if the Islamic world wants to progress and become a center of learning and dignity.

I read Mastan Khan's assessment on the recent clashes and the ceasefire and I am highly worried that it does not bode well for Pakistan's future.

The Indians targeted all of Pakistan and its sensitive locations after murdering innocent Pakistanis in false flag attacks. Pakistan did not go on the offensive as they aggressively told us if the Indians attempt an attack on Pakistan or attacks our civilians "they will pay through their noses." When the initial strikes occurred May 7th, Pakistan again and timidly struck back military targets only in Indian occupied and colonized Kashmir. A mosque in central Punjab was leveled and Pakistan's response was to attack some targets in IOK.

This was a grave mistake as the Indians deliberately struck a mosque that's closely near a military installation that Pakistani military members likely perform worships at. By shooting down some planes during the initial Indian Air Terror and in the process shooting down the Indian jets, Pakistan military planners were contend to pat themselves on the back and call it a day.

What should have happened was Pakistan Air Force should have struck a Hindu temple in the heart of Mumbai or Gujarat.
Just like in 2019, Pakistan dropped the ball and let the enemy go without suffering major losses. We all know the Indians being the typical cowards as reflected throughout their history gained much needed confidence to press ahead and fully colonized IOK with Dravidian and Ganges stock Indians.

Pakistan only came out on top tactically, the Indians strategically. I do not know all the details on the "ceasefire" but I know it does not bode well. They used a false-flag operations to target Pakistan proper and Pakistan let them off easily, again.

The ceasefire sounds awfully similar to the one that Israel signed with Hezbollah/Lebanon, Hezbollah will lay down its arms while Israel is allowed to carry out attacks whenever they feel threaten.
The Indians basically implied that proper Pakistan will again be targeted if there is any "terror" attacks in India or IOK.

The fact that Indians can so easily launch their missiles and drones against all parts of Pakistan while Pakistan basically shot off a missile here or there (without much visual damage to the enemy), this will in fact embolden the vicious, rabid enemy further. He will now attempt to target population centers whenever he has an itch. Same as the Israelis. The Indians even struck cowardly right before the ceasefire and struck the PAF base in Sindh and martyred our brave military men.

The Indian cleverly masking his whole argument based of attacking "Terrorists" in Pakistan and claims to be "Surprised" that Pakistan struck back. They are shaping the narrative that anyone could be a terrorist in Pakistan and in the future will be attacked with or without evidence. The Indians also are prepping for future strikes as they didn't suffer ample civilian casualties or financial losses in order to re-calibrate the Hindutva mind. He sees Pakistan and Muslims as a civilizational struggle, while we are confused as to our identity. He does not see Pakistan or South Asian Muslims as normal human begins, but fifth columnists left behind by invaders. The Hindutva will conduct his future actions around these beliefs.

I was banned from the main conflict thread because one of the mods because in his mind he thinks I spoke out against the Quran when I advocated that Pakistan should conduct strikes on Hindu population centers as they openly struck Islamic mosques. Maybe that mod lacks a proper understanding of English but I go by Surah Bakarah verse:

"Fight in the cause of Allah ˹only˺ against those who wage war against you, but do not exceed the limits.1 Allah does not like transgressors."

@Waz @Musings Please message me about the thread ban. I would like to make an suggestion, please get rid of the laughing emoji it likely plays a part in trolling and jest behavior and gives many low-iq Pakistanis and Indians to abuse this feature to mock serious points. I want this forum to a place where serious thinkers come and discuss military issues, and not become another Facebook.

While I know emotions run high during war, we must be objective thinkers. How would targeting their mandirs distinguish us from them? While they did transgress, remember that there are further hadiths that discuss the rules of engagement, such as refraining from touching the elderly, women, and children, unless they pick up arms against you. Islamic law goes even further, you can't kill animals even in conflict unjustly, and only kill for the quantity of food required, and some scholars go to the extent that the owner of the animal needs to be compensated.

Do, remember, the Quran is 80% about building one's character; if non-Muslims convert, it is because we hold a more moral higher ground.

Actually advocating for such actions alone usually results in

a) Public beating the crap out of you. We forget that while such outlandish statements may well be protected by freedom of speech in western countries, case in example Quran burning, in Pakistan the society has a built in mechanism to reject extremism. Don't trust me, try preaching this in any public square and see how humble it is to be made of flesh and blood.

b) Counter Terrorism Department eventually pays you a visit if you are resourceful enough.

I would also say

India NEVER had the desire for a full war, what India wanted was smoke and mirrors bullshit for the sake of its population

Just like in 2017 and 2019

But just like in 2019 Pakistan hit back very hard and ended up humiliating India

In 2019 they lost a mig 21
In 2025 they lost 5 jets

They can't recover from that, they then went into the only "safe" action they could which was strikes by missiles from a distance to safeguard their air force from PAF

India never wanted full war and only wanted a short conflict,
Pakistan however did not know that and could not with any confidence assume this would be a short conflict
So Pakistan followed what it would consider a gradual escalation where it initially used conventional options against military targets,, STARTING with the military bases and targets water to Pakistan as those would be used by India in any conflict

India just wanted something/anything it could present to it's public as anything but a humiliation for India

If the conflict has continued, THEN Pakistan would have used the big boys against a wider net of targets deeper inside india

But as soon as ceasefire was pushed India was eager to accept and stop a more dangerous war from occuring

I advocated that Pakistan should conduct strikes on Hindu population centers as they openly struck Islamic mosques.
We have to be extremely careful that we do not breach our Islamic teachings and guidelines. We cannot cherry pick any verses without the context it was meant. Islam has a set of ethical guidelines and rules for warfare, rooted in the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). These rules are designed to ensure that even in conflict, humanity, justice, and mercy are upheld. Here are some of the key principles:

1. Only Fight When Necessary

War is permitted only as a last resort, when all peaceful means have been exhausted. Muslims are encouraged to seek peaceful solutions and avoid conflict unless it is necessary for self-defence or to protect others from oppression.

2. No Harm to Non-Combatants

It is strictly forbidden to harm non-combatants, including women, children, the elderly, and the sick. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) explicitly instructed his followers not to kill these groups.

3. Respect for Places of Worship

Places of worship, such as churches, synagogues, and mosques, must be respected and protected. Monks and religious leaders who are not participating in the conflict should not be harmed.

4. No Destruction of Property

The destruction of property, including homes, villages, and infrastructure, is prohibited. This also extends to cultivated fields and gardens, which should not be destroyed or damaged.

5. No Harm to Nature and Animals

Islamic teachings forbid the unnecessary destruction of trees and crops, and the killing of animals except for food. This reflects a broader respect for the environment and living creatures.

6. No Torture or Mutilation

Torture, mutilation, and other forms of cruelty are strictly forbidden. Prisoners of war must be treated humanely and with dignity.

7. Fair Treatment of Prisoners of War

Prisoners of war should be treated fairly and with compassion. They should be provided with food, shelter, and medical care, and should not be subjected to torture or ill-treatment.

8. War Must Not Be for Power or Wealth

War should not be waged for the purpose of gaining power, wealth, or territory. The intention behind any conflict should be just and aimed at protecting the innocent and restoring peace.

9. End the War When the Opponent Surrenders

Once the opponent surrenders or seeks peace, hostilities must cease. The goal is to restore peace and order, not to continue fighting unnecessarily.

10. Avoid Killing in Excess

Even in the heat of battle, excessive killing and unnecessary violence are prohibited. The aim is to minimise harm and avoid unnecessary loss of life.

Concept of Jihad

The concept of jihad in Islam is often misunderstood. Jihad primarily means "struggle" or "effort" and encompasses a broad range of actions aimed at promoting what is right and preventing what is wrong. There are two main types of jihad:

1. Greater Jihad (Jihad al-Akbar)

This refers to the internal, spiritual struggle against one's own base desires and weaknesses. It involves striving to live a righteous life, seeking self-improvement, and maintaining faith and devotion to God.

2. Lesser Jihad (Jihad al-Asghar)

This refers to the physical struggle or combat in defence of Islam and the Muslim community. It is only permissible under strict conditions, such as self-defence, protecting the oppressed, and ensuring justice. Lesser jihad must be conducted with adherence to the ethical guidelines of warfare in Islam.

Jihad in Modern Conflict

In modern conflicts, the concept of jihad is sometimes invoked by various groups and individuals. However, it is important to distinguish between the traditional, ethical understanding of jihad and its misuse for political or extremist purposes. Here are some ways jihad relates to modern conflict:

1. Defence and Resistance

In situations where Muslim communities face oppression or occupation, jihad is often framed as a struggle for self-defence and resistance. This is seen in conflicts such as the Palestinian struggle for statehood and the resistance against foreign occupation in places like Iraq and Afghanistan.

2. Misuse by Extremist Groups

Unfortunately, some extremist groups misuse the concept of jihad to justify acts of terrorism and violence. These groups often distort the teachings of Islam to serve their political agendas, leading to widespread misunderstanding of jihad.

3. Countering Extremism

Many Muslim scholars and leaders emphasise the true meaning of jihad as a peaceful struggle for justice and righteousness. They work to counter the extremist narrative and promote a balanced understanding of jihad in line with Islamic principles.

4. Legal and Ethical Frameworks

In the context of international law, the principles of jihad align with the broader humanitarian laws that govern armed conflict. This includes the protection of non-combatants, the prohibition of unnecessary destruction, and the humane treatment of prisoners.

By understanding the true principles of jihad and its ethical guidelines, it is possible to address the misuse of the concept and promote peace and justice in modern conflicts.

Pakistani's need to adhere the above principles and follow the guidance (in full context) given by Prophet (PBUH). Remember it is Allah (SWT) that gives honour and it He that takes it. We trust our Lord, work to our best and then leave the rest to Allah (SWT). We make ready our military means and train hard - then there is no force on earth that can undo Pakistan.

So my dear fellow are you the spokesperson for ALL Indians or just yourself and circadian rhythm ?
You come on here telling us how disappointed you and your multi IDs are when the whole world has acknowledged you begged for a ceasefire?
You ought to be ashamed. A nation seventh size - gave you a bloody nose.
Multi IDs are not permitted of our forum btw
So long as they can even answer my challenge - every article presented now has failed objectivity tests from Perplexity, chatGpt and Grok - and those I did completely incognito with no login just in case they complain about AI learned bias.

Heck - I challenge them to record a video and Ill record a video - same parameters.

Pass the article to an AI model - no login - incognito - with that 5 word prompt - and show the output.

All these goras rushing to sooth damaged Indian egos is further proof of how badly India lost the 2025 war. I think it is also an indication of something more sinister.....India was encouraged to launch this adventure against Pakistan by the West, and I suspect GCC too. The objectives were at a minimum cutting Pakistan down to size and ideally forcing Pakistan to accept either de-nuclearization or giving up on Kashmir.

Fortunately none of these objectives were met, however Indians are sure to try this again because even if the West was not whispering in India's ear, the Akhand Bharat dream of Hindutva requires that Pakistan be extinguished.

Looks to me like an attempt to take Pakistan Azaad Kashmir as was claimed by Amit Shah.
Take Kashmir out of the equation in exchange for water rights.
Same thing that Israel is trying to do in Gaza.

We must accept that there is plenty of space for a Conflict below the Nuclear Threshold

We can expand the Envelope even further

Indians are quite disappointed with the Ceasefire
Indians disappointed with the ceasefire? Bro, they were disappointed with Chandrayaan landing in the wrong timezone — disappointment’s their national sport. Ceasefire toh unke liye halftime hai, aur scoreboard abhi bhi blank hai.

John Spencer ; US expert shares his views

Bhai, India fired missiles, got airbases targeted in return, then waved a white flag faster than John Cena disappears in a match. And you’re flexing ‘restraint is not weakness’? Bro, when the other guy lands a punch and you fold your arms, that’s not ‘strategic independence’ — that’s a forced timeout."

"Also, why is it that every time things go south, y’all pull out a random gora and shout ‘see, see, validation!’ Like a kid showing his report card to a neighbor because Amma wasn’t impressed."

"John Spencer called it ‘credible’? Bhai, credible toh Netflix ka ‘Are you still watching?’ prompt bhi lagta hai — doesn’t mean you’re winning the war. It just means you’ve been sitting quietly doing nothing.

And your opinion on TOM COOPER'S ANALYSIS

You can Google it if you have not read it
Oh wow, so the moment Tom Cooper says something that doesn’t match your Bollywood-style battlefield fantasy, suddenly you're Sherlock Holmes analyzing his ‘bias’ and ‘history’? Bro, if you applied this level of scrutiny to WhatsApp forwards, half of Indian Twitter would deactivate overnight."

"Let’s be real — if Tom Cooper had written ‘India destroyed 100 jets with a paper plane,’ you’d have built a temple for him by now. But because he questioned the ‘air superiority’ that lasted shorter than a TikTok reel, now he’s ‘unreliable’?"

"You say ‘Google him’ — great idea. Google ‘Indian Rafale performance May 2025’ while you’re at it… oh wait, let me guess, you’ll find Tom Cooper’s article — the one you're crying about right now.

So Michael Rubin thinks Pakistan came “running like a scared dog” asking for a ceasefire? Cute.

1. Pakistan didn’t run — it responded.

Within 48 hours of Indian strikes, Pakistani missiles hit back with precision, targeting Indian military infrastructure. India’s own S-400 radar couldn’t stop it — and neither could the silence in Delhi’s media rooms. If you were winning, why were your jets grounded and your airbases “under repair”?

2. The ceasefire wasn’t requested by Pakistan — it was coordinated through Washington.
Both nations were lobbied by the U.S., not because one side “begged,” but because escalation meant nuclear risk. Rubin forgot to mention this part — probably too busy writing headlines for Indian PR teams.

3. “Restraint is not weakness”? Then stop writing love letters to peace after one slap.
India fired, Pakistan responded — and then both sides agreed to stop. If India was so dominant, why stop at all? You had the “momentum,” right? Yet you called it a day faster than a broken Tejas engine.

4. Rubin should stick to think tanks — not battlefield fantasies.
He wasn’t on the ground, didn’t see the retaliation, and clearly has a one-sided brief. If this is “analysis,” my chai dhaba uncle has a more strategic understanding of the subcontinent.

Unless you shooting someone point blank, koi bharosa nahi hai who these things land on, even if you get the general area right.

I do think people are being measured to the extent possible.. warna Armritsar and Lahore in particular, ek din m Syria/A-stan ban jana hai both sides ka.
“Let’s talk about proof, not projection.”
Every time Indian commentators dismiss satellite-confirmed hits on airbases or wreckage verified on Pakistani soil, they reveal more about their own cognitive dissonance than Pakistan’s operational capability.

You want evidence?
• Shrapnel from Russian-origin missiles with serial codes — documented and photographed.
• Confirmed craters and impact visuals near Adampur, Suratgarh, and other forward airfields.
• Unusual repositioning of Indian SAM systems and early shutdowns of critical radars during the skirmish window.

Yet the go-to defense is always: “But it wasn’t on video” or “We didn’t show it officially.” That’s not analysis — that’s denial dressed in flag colors.

And as for “measured restraint” — when a force chooses restraint, it’s a strategy. When it defaults to restraint because escalation is too costly, that’s deterrence working exactly as intended.

So no, it’s not about who shouts louder on Twitter — it’s about who forced the ceasefire talks in 3 days flat after claiming they didn’t need one.
