Pakistan did not go on the offensive as they aggressively told us if the Indians attempt an attack on Pakistan or attacks our civilians "they will pay through their noses." When the initial strikes occurred May 7th, Pakistan again and timidly struck back military targets only in Indian occupied and colonized Kashmir. A mosque in central Punjab was leveled and Pakistan's response was to attack some targets in IOK.

This was a grave mistake as the Indians deliberately struck a mosque that's closely near a military installation that Pakistani military members likely perform worships at. So Michael Rubin thinks Pakistan came “running like a scared dog” asking for a ceasefire? Cute.

1. Pakistan didn’t run — it responded.
Within 48 hours of Indian strikes, Pakistani missiles hit back with precision, targeting Indian military infrastructure. India’s own S-400 radar couldn’t stop it — and neither could the silence in Delhi’s media rooms. If you were winning, why were your jets grounded and your airbases “under repair”?


2. The ceasefire wasn’t requested by Pakistan — it was coordinated through Washington.
Both nations were lobbied by the U.S., not because one side “begged,” but because escalation meant nuclear risk. Rubin forgot to mention this part — probably too busy writing headlines for Indian PR teams.


3. “Restraint is not weakness”? Then stop writing love letters to peace after one slap.
India fired, Pakistan responded — and then both sides agreed to stop. If India was so dominant, why stop at all? You had the “momentum,” right? Yet you called it a day faster than a broken Tejas engine.


4. Rubin should stick to think tanks — not battlefield fantasies.
He wasn’t on the ground, didn’t see the retaliation, and clearly has a one-sided brief. If this is “analysis,” my chai dhaba uncle has a more strategic understanding of the subcontinent.

Unless you shooting someone point blank, koi bharosa nahi hai who these things land on, even if you get the general area right.

I do think people are being measured to the extent possible.. warna Armritsar and Lahore in particular, ek din m Syria/A-stan ban jana hai both sides ka.

“Let’s talk about proof, not projection.”
Every time Indian commentators dismiss satellite-confirmed hits on airbases or wreckage verified on Pakistani soil, they reveal more about their own cognitive dissonance than Pakistan’s operational capability.


You want evidence?
• Shrapnel from Russian-origin missiles with serial codes — documented and photographed.
• Confirmed craters and impact visuals near Adampur, Suratgarh, and other forward airfields.
• Unusual repositioning of Indian SAM systems and early shutdowns of critical radars during the skirmish window.


Yet the go-to defense is always: “But it wasn’t on video” or “We didn’t show it officially.” That’s not analysis — that’s denial dressed in flag colors.


And as for “measured restraint” — when a force chooses restraint, it’s a strategy. When it defaults to restraint because escalation is too costly, that’s deterrence working exactly as intended.


So no, it’s not about who shouts louder on Twitter — it’s about who forced the ceasefire talks in 3 days flat after claiming they didn’t need one.
