While I do sympathize with the plight of the Palestinian, but this wouldn't do much other than some time down the road Israeli or other country may lodge a similar charge on South Africa (They weren't really saint to begin with) with a similar charge.
Traditionally, it's extremely hard to find a country for Genocide, 50 or so case heard and only 2 had ever reached a positive conclusion. Both time toward Serbia Nationalist. And the hearing is notoriously long, ICJ is still hearing the Rohingya case that brought by Gambia in 2020....Even if there is a positive outcome in this case, this is going to be 4 or 5 years down the road, there will not be anything left in Gaza......and even then, the only thing ICJ could actually do is to write a report and condemn Israel. Unlike ICC, ICJ do not have power to issue warrant for arrest or literally anything other than fact finding to the clause (ie, whether Israel committed genocide) rather than prosecution, so there weren't any real consequences for Israel or Netanyahu personally.
The key to stop this conflict is through United Nation Security Council or General Assembly, however, that would largely depend on the US.
