Now do i think IK should be allowed to meet his family, hell yes, current govt and establishment actually are providing brownie points to their critics by not allowing family to meet him

Now lets see the other side of the story, what is more important meeting the family or playing politics? if meeting the family the superior goal than there should be political statements (thus giving govt chance to stop the meetings) but from the looks of it everytime IK meets the family a certain political disruptive statement is issued which i may term as AA BAIL MUJHAY MAAR

both the sides are equally stubborn and responsible and we the common people is getting effected

Some Pakistanis here claim we have no choice but to suck up to bigger powers because of our economic mess. Fine but before accepting that ask yourself how did we even get here? how did we reach a point where we are standing on the same stage as israel while much of the world is finally taking a stand? why are we throwing a 70+ year old moral, religious and ideological stance into the trash?

Don’t tell me its just because we have no choice or because the economy is weak. Its not because of our helplessness but the hybrid regime's need for american support to survive and that’s the main reason behind this shamelessness. PMLN or PPP would never have agreed to this if they had actually won elections, no matter how much international pressure there was.

We also love bragging about our genius diplomacy and how we are friends with both China and the US at the same time. If that was actually working then our economy would be booming or at least among the best in the region. Instead we are watching countries we used to mock move ahead while we’re stuck with inflation, debt, and the same never ending bailout cycle.
Before anyone twists this, im not saying the policy itself is wrong. Im saying this is all dramabazi to make people believe Pakistan holds serious weight on the global stage when in reality our aukaat is such that we can’t even get our so called friends to mention Kashmir when it actually matters.

When someone asks why we keep sliding backward, the conversation turns into the same tired blame game between political parties. If we be honest then everyone knows which institution has held the most power in Pakistan since independence and who really pulls the strings behind the curtains.

Its is the same country that once had a national airline people admired. The same country that became the first Muslim nuclear power. The same country that once had a stronger economy than India and Bangladesh. Now we’re begging for deferred oil just to stay afloat, that kind of fall never happens overnight.

If you are so afraid of losing GSP+ status then why sign agreements that require human rights compliance in the first place? You call others traitors, fine but shouldn’t "patriots" avoid policies that can directly or indirectly put that status at risk?

I can flip the script too and claim the hybrid regime is deliberately violating human rights to sabotage GSP+ status. It might sound good for political point scoring but it has nothing to do with reality. Just like claiming Kasim Khan is working against Pakistan’s interests when in reality he’s just concerned about his father and not running some hidden agenda.
