Of course. Please keep in mind that the military, the courts, the parliament, the ordinary people, they all are the citizenry - all of them.
Yes, we are Pakistanis, they are too, we are human, they are too and so on.
I am not talking about that denominator. The people in power and in govt offices have positions, roles, responsibilities, and the means to do their job. Otherwise, why do they get some priority, salary and privileges?
Yes, all are citizen but all have certain roles and duties.
Please don't blame common citizens who if they are suppressed, then they must be happy.

And they also showed they were content with the government that was installed.
And they also "attacked" military installations on 9th May 2023 in protest against military establishment illegally arresting IK on the same date.

And they also showed they were content with IK being in jail for nearly three years now.
And they also protested against that on November 26th 2024, only to be shot & killed by the military establishment. 🙄

Yes, all are citizen but all have certain roles and duties.

And NONE of them perform their roles as they should be performed. NONE of them.

Please don't blame common citizens who if they are suppressed, then they must be happy.

Please do not use a strawman argument. I did NOT say they anything about happiness.

I said they were content with the way things are done in Pakistan:

content
adjective
Contained within limits; hence, having the desires limited by that which one has; not disposed to repine or grumble; satisfied; contented; at rest.

The negotiating committee wants signatures from government and Imran Khan will also sign, they will also give gurantee Imran Khan will not cause civil unrest.
And what will that achieve? Would Hazrat Asim Munir’s martial law govt in return give guarantee the restoration of democracy in Pakistan? 🇵🇰

And it saddens me that the so-called best of Pakistan's brains--the educated ones--the expats in the West especially-- have simply forgotten and forgiven Imran's huge blunders and cruelty to his opponents just because they think Imran means the best and so he is the best.
Does it not sadden you how military establishment has ruled Pakistan for decades illegitimately and most people have simply forgiven them for it? 🙄

Let us wait and see if this initiative actually goes somewhere, or just dies prematurely.

Ok.
People are not content either. They protest on social media, in jalsa, conference and in many other ways.
Yes, it is not fruitful as the govt doesn't care about these things or its image.
For the visible and impactful change, the public and PTI are not well-equipped enough to face the army, police, media, and courts combined. However, it doesn't mean the public is not agitated.

No lol, future COAS will continue to have immunity for life, and deep state strong control over the state/Judiciary. The parliament and PM will be toothless when it comes to major issues. Welcome to real Naya Pakistan 🤣

And just what percentage of people is that? Miniscule.

Yes, it is not fruitful as the govt doesn't care about these things or its image.

Yes, that is what I say. Social media echo chambers mean nothing.

For the visible and impactful change, the public and PTI are not well-equipped enough to face the army, police, media, and courts combined.

Sure, that makes sense. As expected. One cannot bring a peashooter to a machine gun fight and expect to win. You need to develop into a viable adversary first.

However, it doesn't mean the public is not agitated.

That is a CLAIM. Where's the evidence?
