Have you seen sindh and karachi? What has democratic PPP done to alleviate people's standard in sindh? When bhutto came into power in 1970, did he radically change anything, fuccck no.

The civilian elite and establishment is equally corrupt and destructive that has kept Pakistan's progress stunted. Their incompetence creates a vaccum that the military exploits. I don't think any civilian government has pushed genuine reforms ever in pakistan. Bhutto destroyed the economy through nationalisation.
PPP is not democratic, without mil-establishment's patronage and full-on support it will not win even in Larkana. Even demographically they have no base of support in Sindh, as Sindhis only constitute 40% population of Sindh, but thanks to GHQ jamedars, Zardari and his merry band of thieves and looters have been imposed and given a free hand loot, murder and usurp Karachi/Sindh to their heart's content.

In compliance with the orders of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), a contingent of Islamabad Police reached the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa House in the federal capital to arrest K-P Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.

According to police and court sources, arrest warrants for CM Afridi and former Member of the National Assembly Junaid Akbar had been issued by the ATC on charges of arson during the November 26 protest.

Upon arrival, police officers formally presented the warrants to the K-P House staff. However, the administration informed the police that CM Afridi was not present at the premises at the time of the raid.

Sources revealed that Islamabad Police had earlier conducted multiple raids on November 26 at various locations in an attempt to arrest Afridi, Akbar, and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Shafi Jan, Meena Khan, and Dr Amjad.

Police officials confirmed that no resistance was encountered during the operation at K-P House, and the police team left the premises peacefully after completing formal procedures.

  • KP CM booked in case under Peca Act over complaint of NCCIA SI.

ISLAMABAD: A case has been registered against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi under the Pakistan Electronic Crimes Act (Peca) after his videos circulated on social media allegedly tarnishing the reputation of state and national security institutions.

The First Information Report (FIR), a copy of which is available to Geo News, was lodged at the Cyber Crime Reporting Centre in Islamabad, with a sub-inspector from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) listed as the complainant.

The legal action comes after Afridi gave a media talk outside Adiala jail in which he reportedly made "false, misleading, derogatory, and intimidating" remarks against state institutions.

Videos of the remarks were also circulated via the official social media page of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the ruling party in KP.

The FIR stated that the accused "is also found to be involved in preparing, publishing, sharing, and circulating fake and misleading content publicly on social media with the intention to incite violence, create racial hatred, panic, fear, and disorder among the general public, along with promoting anti-state sentiments, which are detrimental to the security, integrity, and stability of Pakistan."

It further stated that after the registration of the case, the investigation was entrusted to NCCIA's SI Waseem Khan.

On Friday, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned KP CM Afridi's recent criticism of the security forces, saying he had crossed all limits of ingratitude in a province where the highest number of soldiers had embraced martyrdom.

In his forceful response, the interior minister asserted that such comments about the "brave sons of Pakistan" were "intolerable, baseless, and factually incorrect."

"No patriotic person can make such a statement about the courageous officers and soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the nation," Naqvi stated.

He said the chief minister’s remarks were an attempt to appease the "eternal enemy".

Naqvi highlighted the acknowledged services and sacrifices of the armed forces, noting: "The entire nation and the world recognise the unmatched sacrifices of our security forces. The officers and soldiers of the security forces have nurtured peace with their precious lives."

Concluding his condemnation, Naqvi demanded that the KP chief minister should apologise to the nation for incitement against the security forces.

You are speaking too much facts to the Imran fanbois who, parroting their Dear Leader, often bring up the loss of East Pakistan as a veiled threat to make the K-P province secede from Pakistan.
They and their Dear Leader are pathetic opportunists and frankly anti-Pakistan. Anything to regain power! Even if that means, Imran's sons publicly pinning their 'main hope' on America after Imran built his support base by accusing America for his ouster.
What a bunch of hypocrites and liars!
Yes.that's right. imrandu will remain in jail forever

So friend, "Pakistan’" allowed fair elections and then "Pakistan" refused to hand over power? Who exactly is this "Pakistan"? The people who voted or the unelected general sitting in GHQ acting like aql e qul?

Bengalis weren’t demanding secession at first, they just wanted autonomy within a federal framework. The refusal to transfer power wasn’t about stopping independence, It was about preserving West Pakistan’s dominance and denying East Pakistan its democratic mandate.

what did that stubbornness achieve? The country split anyway. So maybe the real threat wasn’t Mujib’s mandate it was the fear of losing control?
LoL.Bengalis were demanding their own country or autonomy even in 1948 infront of jinnah.there were no University or factories in east Pakistan.Pakistan made 10-12 university, medical colleges. Bangladesh's only arms factory was built by Pakistan.even their parliament house was made by pakistan.despite all of this development, they always wanted their own country.just read any newspaper of that time published by bengalis.sheikh mujhib gave his infamous 6 point in lahore in 1966 before the 1970's election.Pakistan gave election and awami league won. Why awami league won the election cos they promised to make east Pakistan as a separate country.army knew that.that's why they refused to give them power.

lol, no universities in Bangladesh before 1947? Dhaka University was founded in 1921. Factories? Jute mills and textiles were already running under British Bengal. Bro Mujib’s Six Points in 1966 weren’t a declaration of independence, they were autonomy demands... Awami League’s 1970 landslide wasn’t about separatism it was about ending economic injustice and autonomy. West Pakistan’s elite refused to hand over power because they feared autonomy would expose their dominance.

I think they have had enough of PTI.:ROFLMAO: Without their leader to steer the ship they are clueless. I am sure KPK can do better, there must be more talented governers.

Huh? WHO gave unelected army that power to simply refuse transfer of power to the ONE whom majority of Pakistanis had actually elected into power? 🙄

So, as per you, let's just ignore India's deliberate provocations in East Pakistan, facilitating sedition in a sovereign nation state. Yes, the fear in Islamabad was just completely unjustified and the threats were exaggerated, right? Nobody was in the ear of the Bengali qom encouraging their sedition.

Are we on this thread really so naive about India's service record in Dhaka yesterday after having seen unequivocal live streaming of their shameless efforts in Kabul today??

Lets say India was making all these efforts and so on it leaves only three two possibilities per your logic:

1. Bengalis were completely content with the status quo but not only was India able to shake ground realities (without mass social media, without fake AI images) at scale. Not only inciting it across a majority of Bengali leadership but common folk and keeping it sustained for years. It suggests that Pakistani state be it any and every institution were so inept that they simply did not notice any Indian activity and completely were blind to Bengalis who never complained or said anything until the last year and then suddenly it all erupted.

2. Bengal was already in such a bad shape in terms of ignorance by the state that India was able to take advantage and make minimal efforts to make it blow up.

Which is it?

Strange, India first waited for Pakistan to conduct its general elections, then it waited for the generals to refuse transfer of power to those who had won that election, and then it waited even more for the Pak Army to initiate a crackdown in East Pakistan (operation searchlight) — before finally intervening militarily — which led to the eventual breakup of Pakistan. 🙄

That is also too compressed - You forget India waiting and watching through all the lack of investment in EP, the "Defense of the east lies in the west" and language riots and so on.
Or somehow India created all of those out of thin air as a multi decade plan.
