It's money coming in because people's families are struggling, so they are having to fund them. It's not money coming in so we can invest in business, buy or build property, fund expensive holidays, etc. Pakistan had 1 million people leave last year - all searching for work, all selling their assets and paying money to agents to get out.Why is it a "shame"?
It's money coming into Pakistan at the end of the day, and it belongs to Pakistanis.
These are the people who have the potential to actually change things for the better if given the environment in Pakistan.
Also consider how pathetic it is that 10 million overseas Pakistani's, the VAST majority of whom are labour class, are after covering all their living expenditure, sending MORE money into Pakistan, than 200 million Pakistani can generate from exporting goods and services.
It's a reflection of the poor state of industry in Pakistan. This HAS to change. Pakistan should be looking to retain it's youth, to get people like you and me to invest or even move back - not talk about humans being our greatest export.
