"Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue, & Polar Vortex Is Coming For You"

Just had the longest hot shower this year!

After my nap, going to take another long hot shower.

Nine days without running water during a record cold spell.

Had enough water on hand to make it through. Cost? Under $10 for drinking water.

There are a few paying $17 every morning for a shower. Others taking out $400 loans to pay the water bill.

As for me, makes more sense shutting off the water and drain the pipes. No worrying about pipes bursting or running up the water bill.

C'mon man, time to move out of the log cabin and into the 21st century.

This was a oil boom town over a hundred years ago. Shallow wells.

I live in one of the oldest homes still standing. Built for the Oklahoma heat, but not one polar vortex after another.

Two weeks later, feels like 80°F warmer. Having a good time.

Some people go to gyms. Give me a rake, 16" reel mower and a pair of grass shears, I am good to go.

Got a five gallon bucket of house paint, and 3" and 1" paint brushes.

This house hasn't been painted in decades. Lots of scraping still to do.

People always see me working. I am actually just staying busy, having fun.

About to turn 60. Got in four hours of raking today. Hopefully by Spring Equinox, I will be running up and down my yard, barefoot, pushing a 16" reel mower, keeping my yard at a crisp 1".
