The Chinese GAC Motor has received a vehicle safety certificate for GS3 crossover. The model certification indicates its imminent entry into the Russian market. Previously, the model premiere was scheduled for the first half of 2024.
In Russia, GAC GS3 will compete with Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Geely Coolray compact crossovers. The model length is 4,410 mm with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. AVTOVAZ summed up the results of a large-scale renovation campaign, preparation for the release of new models and increase in production capacity, which was carried out during the single corporate leave of the enterprise from April 28 to May 12, 2024.
A total of 8,216 different operations were performed on the amount of about 330 million rubles.

The models are similar in length and wheelbase (4,825 mm and 2,800 mm, respectively) and will be available in 5- or 7-seat versions. U70 Pro is equipped with 1.5 turbocharged engine capacity of 143 HP (207 Nm of torque) coupled with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gear box. U75 Plus is equipped with 2.0-liter 199-HP turbocharged unit with 380 Nm of torque, combined with 8-speed automatic gear box and front-wheel drive.
The price for the basic version of U70 Pro starts from 2.1 million rubles, U75 Plus will cost at least 2.75 million rubles. The first model will be available in three versions, the second one - in two.
