Recall, the world premiere of the second generation Hongqi HS3 took place in mid-2023 at the Shanghai Motor Show (the first generation of the E-HS3 model was produced only in the version with an electric motor). The design of the car is in common stylistics with the "older" models HS5, HS7 and E-HS9. Premium compact crossover received a grille with large vertical sections, bright red element, symbolising the brand logo "Red Banner", multilevel lighting, decorative overlays also in the style of the "red banner", connecting the surfaces of the front wings and front doors.
As noted by Marketing Director of Hongqi Rus Stanislav Ionitsky, with the release of the new HS3, the company will be able to expand its presence in the Russian market, offering premium models Hongqi in the segments of compact, mid-size and full-size crossovers. As a reminder, today Hongqi's model line-up in Russia includes the flagship executive sedan H9, premium full-size electric crossover E-HS9, business class minivan HQ9, premium full-size crossover HS7, business sedan H5 and mid-size crossover HS5.

According to the results of 2023, 226 thousand cars were imported by individuals for personal use through the Vladivostok customs - 1.5 times more than a year earlier. These are mainly cars with engine volume from 1 to 1.8 litres from Japan and Korea, the press service of the Vladivostok customs. Meanwhile, from February 1st, 2024 Vladivostok Customs will change the schedule of registration of vehicles by individuals for personal use and will switch to a seven-day work mode.
This will allow to ensure continuous and uninterrupted clearance of vehicles, as well as reduce their clearance time. In addition, Sakhalin customs officers cleared 3,956 imported cars last year, which is 215 cars more than in 2022. With the exception of a few cars imported from the Republic of Korea and China, all vehicles were imported from Japan.
According to Alexei Antonov, head of the Korsakov customs post of the Sakhalin Customs, the sanctions did not affect the consumer demand. After the sanctions were imposed, only the nomenclature of goods changed in favour of more budget models. The biggest impact on demand is caused by changes in the exchange rate. According to the AUTOSTAT agency, Russian residents bought 2,184 used cars in the Luxury segment for the last year, which is a record for the entire history of the Russian market. Experts of the agency note that the volume of purchases of used luxury cars in our country has been growing for the seventh year in a row, i.e. since 2017.
At the same time, in the last three years, they have been constantly updating records. Here and in 2023, the secondary market of "luxury" grew by 13%, for the first time overcoming the mark of 2 thousand units. Last year, Russians most often bought used Bentley cars out of the entire Luxury segment - 965 vehicles. This is 44% of the total volume.
Almost a fifth of the "luxury aftermarket" belonged to Maserati (425 vehicles). Rolls-Royce cars with mileage were purchased in the amount of 398 vehicles. Also, 212 used Lamborghini vehicles, 133 - Ferrari and 51 - Aston Martin were purchased during the year.
Bentley Continental GT (503 units) holds the leadership among the models of the Luxury segment on the "secondary" market, which owns about a quarter (23%) of the total volume in 2023. In second place is the Maserati Levante with 214 used vehicles, followed by the Bentley Bentayga (191 vehicles). The Bentley Continental Flying Spur (187 vehicles) and Lamborghini Urus (141 vehicles) round out the top 5.

Motorinvest has published the price of the new Evolute i-SPACE seven-seat crossover, which becomes the brand's first hybrid. The novelty will be available at a price of 3 million 899 thousand rubles, reports the press service of the manufacturer. The seven-seat crossover i-SPACE has an overall length of 4,760 mm with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. It is equipped with a combined hybrid powertrain with an electric engine with an output of 178 hp and torque of 300 Nm with drive on the front axle.
The model is equipped with a 17.5 kWh traction battery, which is recharged by a 1.5-litre 110 hp petrol atmospheric engine. In total, the powertrain has a maximum output of 287 hp. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes the seven-seater crossover 7.4 seconds. The range with a charged battery and a full tank is 1,150 km, with fuel consumption of only 5.5 liters per 100 km. The electric-only range will be 87 kilometers. Full charging time from a station is just 4 hours.
Evolute i-SPACE is already adapted to Russian conditions: there is a special mode for driving on snow, and the ground clearance of the crossover is 180 mm. The appearance of Evolute i-SPACE is characterized by a wide grille, designed in the form of matrix elements, as well as fully LED headlights, united by a diode line. Complementing the appearance of the model in the front are vertical deflectors located on the bumper, as well as united rear LED lights, 19-inch wheels, made in aerodynamic design. A large panoramic roof visually increases the interior space.
The set of safety systems and various electronic assistants, in particular, includes a blind spot monitoring system, lane change assistant, collision warning system when reversing, information assistant that alerts about cross traffic from behind. In addition, the equipment of the hybrid crossover includes an integrated video recorder, 360 surround view camera, rain and light sensors, as well as a function of safe door opening. Since February, the Ulyanovsk plant has completed the production of SUVs equipped with Euro-0 environmental class engines. This was reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.

“There have been no changes to the zero environmental class in the model range since February 2024. “Currently, dealers can only purchase Euro-0 vehicles from earlier release dates,” he said.

Price lists for the 2023 model are still available on the official UAZ portal. For example, the price difference between a Patriot car and a pickup truck with Euro-2 and Euro-5 engines reaches 20 thousand rubles. More environmentally friendly versions of the UAZ will cost 1.55 million rubles and 1.58 million rubles. The Hunter SUV continues on sale with a Euro-0 engine, the current cost of this car is 1.39 million rubles, the situation is similar with the UAZ SGR (Loaf) – 1.31 million rubles.

Such changes in companies’ marketing policies are associated with changes to the Russian Government Decree No. 844 of May 12, 2022. According to the new edition of the resolution, from February 1 of this year, all newly produced vehicles in Russia must comply with at least the Euro-3 environmental class.
