[Rodion Romanovic]

Kal El and Arrow, thank you both for the welcome.

P.S. my username is just the name and patronymic (a sort of second name made by the father's name followed by a specific ending (ovic/evic for male and ovna/evna for female)) of the protagonist of Dostoyevsky's novel Crime and Punishment, Rodion Romanovic Raskolnikov

Welcome all to PDF

Welcome, Rodion—another castaway from RDF. GarryB is going to try to revive the forum in some form.

It’s a shame that all that relevant data from the forum has been deleted. There was a lot of good discussion on the RDF that could have been saved.

It’s a great shame. The Forumotion admin ruined everything, too. The forum used to bring together users who contributed substantive, high-quality content. I doubt Garry can salvage anything; without the forum archive and a way to reach the users, nothing can be recovered. It’s hard to believe that just two people managed to destroy thousands of fascinating discussions—effectively wiping out the best forum of its kind on the internet, one that had existed for 15 years. So much is happening right now, yet there’s nowhere left to even have a proper discussion. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but there is a vast gulf between RDF and PDF when it comes to threads about Russia and the war in Ukraine.

Thanks for your sincere intentions, but unfortunately, we don’t have contact details for the rest of the RDF participants, so there’s no way to get them to join.
