Russia-Ukraine War - News, Discussions & Updates

Inside Soviet bombers Tu95, Tu160 the russians use as terror bombers against Ukraine. Ironic, one Soviet state goes to war against another Soviet state. Both states have the same bombers.

Putin uses those planes, that are older than himself as missile launching platforms. Once those bombers die of old age or shot down by Ukraine air defense, then Russia is down until underwear without strategic bombers.

B-52 was built-in the 1950's also. The latest versions were built some what after.
The TI-95 is still in use and modernised for the same reasons the B-52 is still in use maybe when both countries retire these planes there won't be a need for a long range bomber but I do not see that happening.

The difference is while russian bombers are stuck in 70y electronics the B52 bombers will get new radar, new turbines.
The modernization of B52 is based on unreal engine 5, a graphic simulation game software. Putin rich bases on oil and gas. Software, hardware are not Russia strength.

Software, hardware are not Russia strength.

Perhaps. But the point is moot. Russia buy electronics from China. East Asians are talented with that stuff.
