to be fair, part of the reason I join in my 20s is that I get the Dress Uniform to impress people, possibly women. So there is this factor pulling people in. Just that I wish that they had told me there is a war going on lol (That's a joke by the way)

Yeah, you kind of see it a mile these people ain't gonna last long in a warzone. Gear is the primary thing we take good care of and put most of the time to get right, I remember I have had a chat with @Neptune (One of the ex Turkish mod) before he got deploy and we talk about gear, I mean we went in deep, like real deep even talking about which side should he put his mag pouch and how far down the reach, where to put his backup sidearm and etc, this is something those Russian (or Chinese Volunteer) don't really care about. That's how I know this guy is not going to last long....

Real war ain't airsoft, I mean I can say that with low intensity shit like what I been thru, that war in Ukraine, is going to eat up infantry like there are no tomorrow. they should have put more thought on gears, and not just wear everything. And I am pretty sure the way that Chinese guy wear his ballistic vest won't stop anything. That show you how much these people are trained.

Is there no restriction on purchasing military gear and equipment, after the raft of terrorism incidents in Pakistan, unless you are into the black market, purchase of military clothes, insignia, patches etc require ID and if you are seen wearing them in public without correct ID you can face lengthy jail time.

You mean in the US? Most gear you can buy in your local Army Navy store or surplus store, US military have some sort of restriction on NSN item, but they aren't fully enforced as long as you don't break federal law (like impersonate a military officer), you are okay

I can go to my local army navy store and get a full set of uniform without showing ID and I can wear said uniform without consequence as long as that was not an officer uniform, and there is no stolen valor involved.

There is something that you would need ID to purchase, things that on ITAR list would require an ID, things such as a real Trijicon ACOG or NVG, you will need an ID to purchase, but you can use them in public, so technically, you can dress yourself in full issue gear, the same as any deployed soldier, in the US play airsoft and this is completely fine, and some people actually do that in airsoft, they called it mil-sim, where they actually do airsoft with proper military structure and command and control and proper gear like you did in a platoon or company. As long as you don't impersonate an military officer, you're fine

That is actually bonkers to hear, especially after 9/11. I suppose if you are buying it for re-nactment or collection but still, it is a scary thought.

lol, none of those 3 in the cover image wear the uniform right, I am not sure if that even counted as "Stolen Valor" when they didn't even wear the thing right.

From Left to Right: The first guy wears the US Flag on where the rank patch is. The middle guy wears the US flag under the sleeve of the pocket (That's where you put SSI not US flag) and the guy the right has the collar blocked all his qualification tab, which you don't actually need to wear on ACU, and he is like 10 times over Army Reg on weight.......let alone being able to past RASP and becoming a Ranger.......

I don't understand why people want to do stolen valor, I can't even look at my uniform once I am done with my service, I have NOT wear my uniform once after I was discharged, I can wear them in occasion like wedding and funeral or even to Family Feud (A TV show) as I have earn my right with the National Defence Service Medal and 2 Silver Stars and a Bronze Star. My wife asked me once why I am not wearing my Class A to her friend wedding, I simply told her I don't want to, how could you when you go thru all the thing that you desperately want to forget? Fighting a war is nasty, it's dirty, it is something you don't even want to wish that to happen to your worse enemy? Sure, not all memory ar bad I know there are type of person that take pride in their service, that will gladly do it again and again, but then if I recall the good times, I will also recall the bad times, all I can say is I am not that Patriotic.

That's why I don't understand why people want to have that piece of memory so badly they will just pretend? I can't sleep most of the night and the first month I got home I can't even walk down the road without watching all the parked car, you probably need to ask those people who do this, do you want fake PTSD to go with the fake valor?

Yeah, I too think they need to stop people from getting military gear, first of all, this is going to be bad when you have a bunch of bad guys dressing up like a US soldier, also bad is that you create a market for such a things so people who in charge of PX may illegally leak those gear into the civilian market and that have direct impact on warfighting, I mean if soldier can't get their gear at PX because those guys is selling it to reenactor or mil-sim people under the table, that is an issue.

When I was deployed in Iraq as part of MNU, I collect my colleague uniform item from different nation as memento, most other country has restriction on what you can own and you can't own, and I have to go and seek out everyone from every item I collected to have permission to own such an item. It's not the case with the US; you can basically just go buy them on eBay.

Wait... I didnt know your history... does it mean you were deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan??

Russia whilst having completely hollowed out its economy, has managed to weather the storm of sanctions with somewhat ease, so much so that discussions are now underway to allow Russian carriers to return to flight operations to the U.S.[3]


Therefore Trump is not wrong when he says that the only option open is the negotiation table.

this war will be settled on battlefield. there will be no ceasefire nor negotiation.
Putin has made it from the beginning of the war. Medwedew, russia former russia president, said again the war will end only after Ukraine is totally annihilatied.

all say the same.

how can you negotiate with such people?
Trump now puts a gun on the table he forces Zelinskki to negotiate the surrender.
 
The behaviour and treatment of Ukraine by Trump and his team, should be a big big eye opener to America's allies of Japan, South Korea, India - countries that USA will want to get "involved" in its fight against China.

Look at the way the USA is also walking away from Europe, away from NATO aswell ...

Be warned - learn your lesson - and keep away from any American grand plans on China.. Let the Americans "deal" with China on their own. The Americans will dump you like a used condom on a thursday night out as we can see with Ukraine once they are done and have their interests fulfilled ....

That money should be spent in Europe to help develop an independent industrial-military capability that is not reliant on the Americans aswell. Same applies for all the other EU and UK countries.
