Saudi Arabia Executes Two Bangladeshi Nationals Over 'Having Sex' Inside Mecca Mosque

Anyone going to Saudi Arabia should be very careful in carrying their luggage. Little careless at some airport where stuff can be stealthily inserted into your luggage by smugglers can be very costly if detected by the Saudi authorities.

Just a few weeks ago, I flew from Canada into America. During the luggage inspection part, my carry on was pulled aside and the officer took out stuff and to my surprise was going through the toiletries and was carefully examining my beach flipflops! The only conclusion I could draw was maybe in the shared shower area of the hostel, some people's drugs left a trace of some drugs on my flipflops; the flipflops were still a little wet as I had showered not long ago.
Well that's your fault really, shouldn't try to hide your drugs in your flip flops. You gotta put them up your bum.

Amateur.

Did not look that hard did you?

I’m not talking about Indians sentenced to death for murder or drug trafficking. I’m only talking about this morality law on the basis of which two Bangladeshi citizens have been executed.

One of the few nations where having a US passport does not grant significant immunity from severe punshments under law is the DPRK. North Koreans probably take great delight in nabbing Americans who go too far (like the stupid youth who tore down posters and trashed a hotel). Singapore is another as long as the crime is drug-related. They executed a pair of drug traffickers (Chambers & Barlow) from Australia and no amount of howling. crying, kvetching, hand-wringing or outward exhibits of frustrated rage directed at Singapore authorities by Aussie political whores (ie our "leaders") could budge the Singaporeans decision to hang those scumbags (which they did, and oh boy did our media sockpuppets cry... ).

Of course, thats not "morality" related offenses, but worth pointing out IMHO

Well it shows no government even "supa powa" can do much here.

DPRK is the last truly independent nation in the world. Immune from the proverbial carrots and sticks. And I am hearing even from some Western sources that that country is starting to see some positive development. They have been largely weaned off the lost Soviet Union largesse.

I searched the internet to find out whether any Indian had ever been executed in Saudi Arabia for such so-called immorality-related offences, and I was relieved to find no verified case of an Indian being executed for these reasons.

I don't know whether this is because of the Indian government's intervention or because Indians simply don't cross that line. Whatever the reason, it's good to know this.
Let's be honest here. No one is more craven towards Saudi Arabia than Pakistan. Bangladesh is not far behind. Both call the Saudis "brothers". But that respect doesn't go both ways, especially when it comes to their own nationals. If a Saudi citizen is in trouble in Pakistan, I assure you the Saudi government will work day and night on their behalf. If a Pakistani gets arrested in Saudi Arabia, you are lucky to get a consular visit. The relationship is that unequal.

We can be thankful the Indian government is more reactive and forceful in such matters. They will listen to India's questions and requests.

Guess what happened? :)

They built nukes. And then earned blns $ on selling weapons and ammo to Russia from 2022 onwards.

It's an admirable development but I am not sure how much growth there is outside of Pyongyang.

So much bullshit coming out of you that I think no one can stem the tide. you may want to sit down when you read this, then think of another subject to circle jerk over

Once they were in Saudi Arabia, they were subject to Saudi laws. The issue is not so much that they were executed for a moral crime , but that the Saudi authorities did not consider it necessary to inform Bangladesh's embassy even after they were executed and that instead of protesting this with the Saudi government, the minister has made a public statement that this should be a lesson for Bangladeshis. You might not have any leverage against Saudi Arabia, but at least spare a thought for your country's dignity and the families of those affected.

You are too busy Googling articles to confirm your bias to comprehend the post (or even read it?). You didn't even respond to what I said or what Aghor Warrior said. Please do better.

Yeah, you post your trash thoughts and I reply with a lengthy report on Indians being very badly treated in Saudi by Amnesty.

"Please do better" may work for you if you were ever able to back up the bullshit you post with facts

Maybe Indian passport is as powerful as American passport , after all India is a suppapowa.

well, anyone disrespecting the Holy Mosques while being there is not going to be tolerated. If they did the crime, then be prepared for the consequences. There's good reasons why crime is non-existent pretty much in those rich arab countries and one of them is that they don't tolerate stupid shit from anyone. They expect you to honor and obey their laws when you're visiting.

as my teacher used to say, do can do whatever you want as long as you can later bear the consequences.....
well, i guess these 2 will find out soon enough

However it should not become a saudi-bashing thread......specially from the saffrons

@Musings @RescueRanger @Waz

Americans and Europeans are far more sophisticated and savvy , they know the the redlines and seldom cross them.

Most of the executions are for drug smuggling/dealing...somebody got paid some amount to be a drug mule and then got sloppy/nervous at customs and got bagged by security...not some kingpin...then they are made an example by getting executed.
