Saudi Arabia launches a new tourist destination targeting two million visitors annually
The "Al -Souda summits" project is held above the top mountain peak in the Kingdom at a height of 3015 meters above sea level and will be completed in 2033
Today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia launched the general plan for a new development project called "Al -Souda summits" in the Asir region, southwest of the Kingdom, which aims to provide a new global tourist destination in a mountainous environment at the top of the highest summit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at an altitude of 3015 meters above sea level.
The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who launched the project on Monday, said that "the project will contribute to achieving the goals of Vision 2030, developing the tourism and entertainment sector, and supporting economic growth by contributing to increasing the cumulative GDP by more than 29.1 billion riyals (7.7 billion dollars), and providing thousands of jobs directly and indirectly," according to the official Saudi Agency (SPA).
The Saudi Crown Prince added. "The general plan affirms our endeavor to activate global efforts to preserve the environment, natural and heritage resources and preserve it for future generations, and to contribute to diversifying sources of income and building an attractive economy for international and local investments."

According to "SPA", the "Al -Souda summits" project provides luxurious hospitality services to millions of visitors throughout the year, and the general plan will depend on the local urban design in its design, as it includes 6 main areas centered around special areas. Tallal, Sahb, Sabra, Jarin, Men, and Rock Rock. There will be a variety of facilities in these areas, including luxury hotels and mountain resorts, palaces and residential units, and luxury shops, as well as entertainment, sports and cultural monuments. The project will include the development of 2700 hotel rooms, 1336 housing units, and 80 thousand square meters of commercial spaces by 2033.
The Saudi Agency stated that the general plan for "Qimam Al -Souda" consists of 3 main stages, the first stage of which is expected to be completed in 2027, which includes the development of 940 hotel rooms, 391 housing units and 32 thousand square meters of commercial space.
The "Al -Souda summits" is located on a wide area of forests and mountains that extend to more than 627 square kilometers, and the building area does not exceed 1% of it, which reflects the commitment of "Al -Souda for Development", a company affiliated with the Saudi Public Investment Fund, to protect the environment and implement the standards of preserving, maintaining and developing natural resources in the project area that includes the majority of men and women, and supports the efforts of the Saudi Green Initiative.
