GE Manufacturing Technology Center (GEMTEC) in Dammam
Of the center's 600 employees, more than 75 percent are Saudis
Capacity to produce up to 10 turbines per year
GE and the Saudi Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), with support from the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), opened the GE Technical Academy in Jubail in September 2013 following a long-term partnership with TVTC to develop Saudi talent that first began with the joint technical program in 2011.
To further support the Kingdom's expanding energy sector, the program aims to train up to 100 Saudi professionals annually, who will then be given the opportunity to join the growing Saudi workforce at the GE Energy Technology Center in Dammam.

GE Saudi Advanced Turbines (GESAT) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia is a joint investment by Dussur and GE to manufacture heavy duty gas turbines and components in the Kingdom Established in June 2017, GESAT is an advanced technology facility that has already started manufacturing 7FA.05 gas turbines and 7H gas turbine accessory modules, exporting them from Saudi to the world. The new company aims to achieve a direct non-oil GDP contribution of $9.3 billion in Saudi Arabia by the year 2030.

Alat is committed to make investments worth a total of $100 billion and create 39,000 direct job opportunities by the year 2030.

Alalat Company announces the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Lenovo and an investment in the company worth $2 billion

▪️Under the agreement, Lenovo will establish a regional headquarters in Riyadh to conduct its business in the Middle East and Africa region.

▪️In addition to a new manufacturing center in the Kingdom that joins all of Lenovo’s current manufacturing centers, which number more than 30 locations around the world.

▪️The investment will be in the form of a bond subscription agreement, whereby Lenovo will issue convertible bonds worth $2 billion.
