This toilet PTI-supporter need to calm down a bit. Its one of many proposals going around, its not official. And why would Pakistan and even Balochistan refuse investment to develop Pasni port? Make zero sense but then Pakistan wouldn't be here if Pakistanis brains were not stunted.

Development in Gwadar have at least helped locals if not Pakistan at large. Gwadar isn't Dubai but compared to 90's the difference is day and night.

Waj Khan is a lota - he went the same route as Cyril Almeida ( Dawn) who is now hiding in London after Dawn Leaks drama.
 
So why Pasni port? USA may not want to use Gwadar or Pakistan may like to develop another port. For now Reko Diq will use current ML3 railway track to transport copper to Karachi. Pasni port will ensure shorter route. It also means Gwadar will get connected to railways.

Pasni to Reko Diq railway track will cost $10bn, Pakistan will not be able to finance this anytime soon. Hopefully USA come because this could be huge deal for Balochistan development.

Who abets/facilitates the BLA in the West? What happens when this hypothetical American investment is threatened?

China and the US are trying to find an accommodation which will allow them to work together and co-exist. As long as Pakistan does not undermine Chinese interests, it is possible to engage with the US.

Pakistan is actually helping bridge the Chinese and Americans through economics. Gwadar is not a military base for the Chinese. It is a port with access to the warm waters of Arabian Sea. Similarly, if this report has any basis, having a port with American shipping coming in for mining at Pasni does nothing to impede Chinese trade through Gwadar.

Pakistan is attempting its best to have a win-win for both powers. They operate in quite a few countries like this. Djibouti is an interesting example with both countries manning intelligence and security outposts there.

$10 billion for a railway track in a blackhole like Baluchistan has scam written all over it. Very unlikely Trump will fall for that.

Pakistan is also helping itself. Just like China is seeking better ties with India. There is absolutely no harm in seeking better ties with the US. Especially if it helps the Pakistani economy. You cannot ignore the US for trade. That is a foolish policy. Although Pakistan cannot put all of its eggs in the US basket. We have to remember that the current relationship is temporary due to Trump. Once the Democrats enter the office it will be a downward trajectory.

I also agree that Pakistan will help ease US China ties. It did in the past too.

Unless Balochistan have 6-7 Reko Diqs which it does. Why use ML-3/ML1 to transport minerals all the way to Karachi. 1300km vs 500km.
 
Ok actual cost of 500km railway from Pasni to Reko Diq will be $3bn at must, not $10bn. I think this is viable project. But we are talking about 2035 timeline here. In short term they will use Karachi route.

Here is a proof that USA investment in Pasni is good for Pakistan. Indians are shaking up.
