Sea Port / Dry Port and Maritime Updates.

China already pulled all funds from Riko Dik project....they are mad, Chinese say we build the road under CPEC to explore mines and minerals and Pak gave projects to US .
Chinese build the road and US enjoy free ride ......lollllllllll

Pretty sure our government took the Chinese into confidence regarding American investment. If China is unhappy as some people say then why is it launching CPEC 2.0 at the same time?

Chinese also seem to have been the ones providing funding to research rare earths in Pakistan. Below study is very technical but you can see who the researchers are and where the money comes from.

China has been restricting rare earths in its trade war with the US, now Field Marshall goes and signs deal to sell rare earths to same America.

Pak cannot go ahead on any project without Chinese backing. Remember all it would take to bankrupt Pakistan is Chinese refusal to roll over their debt.

If true what about China? Can Pak afford to offend Chinese?

You think China wants war and more confrontation with the US and vice versa?

Pakistan can bring the two counties together to cooperate and trade and invest in Balochistan.

CPEC 2.0 will benefit.

Win win win deal.

Its all in collusion. China and Pakistan just concluded their strategic dialogue the other month.

If this goes ahead and US develop strong trade links then its game over for BLA and TTP, they will be hunted globally. This is win win for China and their investments.

Yes, I did. How Pakistan plans its future is not the responsibility of China.

No, but Pakistan inviting China's biggest rival into a backyard, competing with Gwador and potentially facilitating a US military presence in Afghanistan, "Iron Brother" probably won't take kindly to that, after all the diplomatic/political support, military support, economic support via CPEC, only for the US to come eat their lunch.

So you think Pakistan is trying to be a bridge between the US and China. That argument has merits.

Pakistan has a strategic relationship with China.

Development of the port for the purpose of exporting rare earth minerals to the doesn't mean the US will have a military base there.

This port development is what Pakistan is proposing to the US. The US has not asked for Pakistan for such a port.
  • Pakistan had originally offered the Gwadar Port development to the US all the way back in 1973 but the US showed no interest.
Now, in regards to us military presence in Pakistan, that's never been an issue for China in the past, why would that ever be in the future? Was China concerned by NATO presence in neighbouring Afghanistan?

And, are you somehow under the impression that China is trying to push it's biggest trade partner, the US, out of the region?

It is a MOU, nothing more, just a promise, but no funding.

They want China and US to support Pakistan against the Indian sponsored terrorism in Balochistan.
