Thief Said He Was "Teleported” Into Stolen BMW

"You saved me from the aliens," Florida Man told investigators

DECEMBER 9--Beamer me up, Scotty.

After crashing a stolen BMW yesterday, a Florida Man denied swiping the wheels, explaining to cops that he was actually

“teleported into the vehicle,” according to an arrest affidavit.

Investigators allege that Calvin Johnson, 36, took the 2018 convertible while the car’s owner was walking his dog at Ormond Beach’s Centennial Park. Johnson, cops say, rummaged through the unlocked BMW and found the keys in a cupholder.

In short order, Johnson--driving over 100 mph--crashed the car in a single-vehicle accident. Passing motorists extracted him from the totaled auto.

When cops arrived at the crash scene, Johnson told of his purported teleportation, made

a passing reference to the X-Men, and told officers, “You saved me from the aliens.”

Seen at right, Johnson was transported to a local hospital, where he was placed under guard. He will be transferred to the county jail upon his release from the Halifax Hospital Medical Center.

Johnson has been charged with grand theft auto, a felony, and driving on a license that was suspended in 2019. Bond has been set at $2650.

Johnson has an extensive criminal record, which includes convictions this year for trespass, obstruction, loitering, resisting, and grand theft (for stealing a $1500 bicycle). Asked why stole the bike, Johnson answered, “I just felt like it.” (1 page)

A French hospital had an unforgettable night in 2022…

Doctors at Hôpital Sainte-Musse in Toulon were forced to evacuate part of the ER and call the bomb squad — all because an 88-year-old man arrived with a World War I artillery shell lodged in his rectum.

At first, no one knew if the century-old shell was still live. Staff cleared the area, specialists rushed in, and deminers carefully inspected it.

Thankfully, the shell turned out to be inert, and surgeons safely removed it.
The patient recovered… and the hospital walked away with one of the most bizarre medical emergencies in recent history
