Stupid & Funny from Around the World

A humanoid robot in China has gone viral after appearing to beg for money on a sidewalk.

The machine, believed to be a Unitree G1 robot, was filmed kneeling with its hands pressed together beside a donation plate and a QR code for digital payments. It reportedly displayed messages like, “No money to recharge” and “Please help with electricity bills,” leaving passersby both amused and confused.736479093_1273159671561185_4947044605147142736_n.jpeg

Some people dropped coins into the plate, while others scanned the QR code. But no one has confirmed whether it was a publicity stunt, performance art, or a genuine fundraising attempt.

Whatever the purpose, the video has sparked a bigger conversation: as robots become more human-like, the line between technology, entertainment, and everyday life is getting harder to distinguish.
