Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Anyone who says. "We need to build this bomb, that bomb," is already too late. The Jews won't give them time to build anything.

Any Muslim country that doesn't have nuclear weapons already is dead. They had the last few decades to build them, but they spent that time on acquiring wealth and women.

By the way, maybe Saudi Arabia thinks that if they appease the US-Israel they'll be safe, but the reality is that there are other actors (Muslim and non-Muslim) in today's world who know that taking down Saudi Arabia will be beneficial to them. US-Israel isn't the only dog in town.

The interesting thing is that US-Israel will also eventually want to turn Saudi Arabia into Syria because their ultimate target is Islam.

Concept of nuclear power and second strike is difficult to teach in writing. They have to breath it over a decade.

These guys think they can pay Pakistan 100 million dollars and Pakistan will happily give them 50 nukes and says thank you for the business.
Then they are a nuclear country with second strike capability.

One must not forget the NPT, CTBT and other such agreements the nations have signed up. They just cannot buy nuclear technology even if someone offers it to them - for free, as a barter exchange or for money. These deals cannot be kept secret - at least not for long.
There is a complex delivery mechanism complete with computers, programming, missiles and launch codes. Even if this was all tried to be packaged together, there is hardly any possibility. Talking about sanctions, Pakistan will face sanctions. Nuclear bombs will not bring that much revenue so as to offset the current debt crisis.

Israeli policy on the use of nuclear weapons since 1966 involves four scenarios:

Successful military penetration into populated areas within Israel's post-1949 (pre-1967) borders

the destruction of the Israeli Air Force

The exposure of Israeli cities to massive and devastating air attacks or to possible chemical or biological attacks

The use of nuclear weapons against Israeli territory

Who cares! A country that can withstand political and economic pressure can develop nuclear weapons.

Not only u have to face economic sanctions and become a pariah state there's also a looming threat of Israel preempt strike if it feels threatened enough.Israel has a history of preemptive strikes on neighboring countries' nuclear facilities, such as the attacks on Iraq's Osiraq reactor in 1981 and Syria's al-Kibar facility in 2007. One thing about the Israelis is they don't just sit quietly and do nothing lol

A fun fact about Israel which seems to constantly be forgotten by surrounding Arab nations that go to war with her. Ultimately, Israel is not going to lose. Israel has nukes.

At the start of the Yom Kippur War, the Israelis requested emergency military supplies from the US, which the story goes, Henry Kissinger was initially somewhat reluctant to grant, in no small part because the Soviet Union was backing the Syrians and Egyptians, and it was a time of some tension between the superpowers. Kissinger was afraid that actively supplying Israel could lead to a direct conflict between the US and the USSR,

The story is Golda Meir told Kissinger, “Understand me Mr. Secretary. We are losing this war… but we are not going to lose this war.” The admonishment was clearly meant to state that Israel would, if forced-to, use nuclear weapons. The American arms started flowing.

Hard to believe that Kissinger being a Zionist Jew would think of stopping arms supplies to Israel.

I think that KSA has nuclear weapons already otherwise why buy the DF-3A 35 + years ago? Why help finance the Pakistani nuclear program and not have a stake in it?

Note, all the Chinese missiles that KSA bought 35 + years ago, today, KSA develops them within KSA jointly with China.

CNN had a long article about this 4 + years ago or so.

Confirmed by satellite imagery.

If not already the case, KSA is a few months away from becoming a nuclear state by design.

Otherwise MbS would not publicly state that KSA would develop nuclear weapons the second Iran does.

If North Korea can develop nuclear weapons, KSA could develop them without much trouble as well.

Nah, there is no way that KSA has just looked at regional developments silently.

Must importantly KSA has all the components in house as well, including the uranium (KSA has about 5-10% of the world's uranium reserves). 10 + years ago (ongoing so far) KSA and China jointly excavated it in KSA. There is news out there about this as well.

KSA definitely has extensive chemical weapons as well having one of the most developed chemical sectors in the world. I for one know, that KSA exported various chemical components to Iraq during the 1980's.

Main point here is that Israel has no ability to "conquer" KSA and Egypt and both countries have certain weapons that would make Israel think at least twice and afterwards regret such adventures deeply. Israel is tiny and has zero strategic depth, being a US satellite or not. From northwestern KSA even long-range artillery can target Israel.

Syria not a threat to world, rebel leader Ahmed al-Sharaa tells BBC

BBC speaks to Syrian rebel leader Ahmed al-Sharaa

The de facto leader of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, has said the country is exhausted by war and is not a threat to its neighbours or to the West.

In an interview with the BBC in Damascus, he called for sanctions on Syria to be lifted.

"Now, after all that has happened, sanctions must be lifted because they were targeted at the old regime. The victim and the oppressor should not be treated in the same way," he said.

Sharaa led the lightning offensive that toppled Bashar al-Assad's regime less than two weeks ago. He is the leader of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the dominant group in the rebel alliance, and was previously known by his nom de guerre of Abu Mohammed al-Jolani.

He said HTS should be de-listed as a terrorist organisation. It is designated as one by the UN, US, EU and UK, among many others, as it started as a splinter group of al-Qaeda, which it broke away from in 2016.

Sharaa said HTS was not a terrorist group.

They did not target civilians or civilian areas, he said. In fact, they considered themselves to be victim of the crimes of the Assad regime.

He denied that he wanted to turn Syria into a version of Afghanistan.

Sharaa said the countries were very different, with different traditions. Afghanistan was a tribal society. In Syria, he said, there was a different mindset.

He said he believed in education for women.

"We've had universities in Idlib for more than eight years," Sharaa said, referring to Syria's north-western province that has been held by rebels since 2011.

"I think the percentage of women in universities is more than 60%."

And when asked whether the consumption of alcohol would be allowed, Sharaa said: "There are many things I just don't have the right to talk about because they are legal issues."

He added that there would be a "Syrian committee of legal experts to write a constitution. They will decide. And any ruler or president will have to follow the law".

Sharaa was relaxed throughout the interview, wearing civilian clothes, and tried to offer reassurance to all those who believe his group has not broken with its extremist past.

Many Syrians do not believe him.

The actions of Syria's new rulers in the next few months will indicate the kind of country they want Syria to be - and the way they want to rule it.

Syria's new leaders must keep promises to respect rights, UN envoy says
