Tesla's New Autopark is INCREDIBLE in Europe

The Robotaxi version of FSD (v13) has now been released to Tesla owners for testing!!!!!

This means you get in the car, declare a destination, and you will see a "Start" button appear on the screen similar to Waymo's
StartFSD.png

It will now shift out of park automatically, pull out into the road, drive to your destination, pull into a parking spot, and put the car in park...without you having to touch the steering wheel/pedals at all. 😲

Dow Jones Futures: Nvidia, Meta, Apple Eye Buy Points With Tesla FSD v13 Coming

Tesla appears to have begun rolling out FSD v13 to employees and limited outside customers. Elon Musk said last weekend that the big FSD update was "coming soon." The EV giant has hyped-up expectations by predicting FSD v13 will show a six times improvement in terms of miles per driver intervention.

FHWA: Tesla-based plug J3400 will be ‘the standard moving forward’

More details from the feds on the J3400 standard based on Tesla’s plug are coming, acting Federal Highway Administrator Kristin White announced Tuesday.

It’s officially the Tesla-based J3400

Independent standards organization SAE International announced in October that it had released J3400, the new open standard based on the Tesla charging technology. Yesterday, White said at a conference hosted by the Alliance for Automotive Innovation:

In the coming weeks, you will be seeing an update from the federal agencies on what we call the J3400 standard. That will be the standard moving forward, and we’re really happy to report that out.
An FHWA spokesperson contacted Electrek to clarify, so we have updated our headline: “FHWA did not announce a new rulemaking. Because the existing rule allows J3400 flexibilities, we intend to provide clarification on using those flexibilities. Acting Administrator White stated that new FAQs on this topic are forthcoming, and a webinar is scheduled for December 17. FHWA will provide additional details on the FAQs when that information is made public.

BMW calls Tesla's FSD V13.2 'very impressive' - and then deletes its tweet

On X/Twitter, BMW's social media account briefly called Tesla’s FSD v13.2 'very impressive' in a now-deleted tweet. Tesla responded playfully, but was this a mistake or just plain old competitive rivalry?

Social media interactions between companies (or more accurately, their social media accounts) are almost always interesting. Recently, BMW briefly acknowledged Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) v13.2 by referring to it as 'very impressive' in a now-deleted tweet. This interaction occurred after a post by @AIDRIVR showcased Tesla’s latest FSD features, which have drawn attention for major upgrades in parking automation and three-point turns.

The exchange happened when a third-party account highlighted Tesla’s FSD capabilities, tagging BMW, Volkswagen, and Mercedes-Benz with the caption, “Isn’t that impressive?” BMW responded with a simple but telling “very impressive”. Tesla’s official account quickly chimed in with a playful “Hi @BMW,” and for a moment, it was all fun and games.

However, BMW’s tweet disappeared shortly afterward, leaving users to speculate about the motives behind its removal. Was it an accidental nod of approval from BMW, or did someone within the company decide that public praise for a competitor’s software was a step too far? Either way, the internet was quick to take screenshots (see above), because that's what the internet does.

While Tesla has pushed ahead with updates like FSD v13.2, other automakers, including BMW, are actively working on their own advanced driver-assistance systems. The deleted comment could be viewed as a mix of acknowledgment and caution, as legacy automakers are still trying to catch up with Tesla’s autonomous driving progress.
