The US achieved its main goal in Afghanistan of destroying Al Qaeda. The Taliban is an Afghan people issue. If Afghans don’t want to defend their own country that’s their problem, not Americans.

The distance between China and Taiwan is between 82miles and 112 miles, and with the grown of Chinese satellites, drones and short range systems, none of this equipment will last very long.

One major thing which most of fan bois overlook is that if USA/China goes to War over Taiwan, and if by any chance China is losing or on verge of Defeat they will use the "N-word" and than the US has to decide to fight China and go down with 100's of Nukes flying over China and Main land US, or just back off to a already pointless fight, once the Chinese Operation begins in Taiwan then its pretty much over, China if they are unable to capture the Island will make sure that nothing left standing there, now If USA launch military strikes against the mainland China that will open China to launch attacks on mainland USA, are US people willing to die for Taiwanese ? In case of a full scale war between US/China over Taiwan, Taiwan entire Cities will be rubble, US and China will see major set backs in military, both countries will see thousands of military personnel dead, if they decide to hit each other's cities than thousands of civilians dead, and all those US macho allies in the region, they are there until the Missiles start flying over Tokyo and other major capital cities, no Allied country will let their own civilian die for US or Taiwan, heck even NATO didn't send its troops to Ukraine and risk their capitals been bombed by Russia.

You may not be aware that the entire island of Taiwan lies within the range of our rocket artillery. Note that I said rocket artillery, not missiles.

The Nanjing Military Region across the Taiwan Strait possesses 1,700 long-range rocket launchers. If the PLA chooses to act, it could obliterate everything on the island within a very short timeframe.

Your so-called teeth would first need to survive a barrage of hundreds of millions of rocket projectiles before even attempting to counter an amphibious assault.
