Now don't kill the mood on PDF!
Well, Trump is already heading toward Desi type dynastic politics, appointing his son next Rep leader. may be I am wrong. A gangster rule

Are we living in 1962?
No "we" are living in 2020-2025 when in 2020 China killed 20 Indian soldiers, took 110: prisoner and then occupied 1100:sq.km in the Galwan valley. That was when Vishwaguru dialled President Trump and begged for intelligence sharing and help . The Vishwaguru also asked for speedy delivery of Apache helicopters.
Not much of an "independent foreign policy " when a $4.5 trillion economy nation can't protect its own borders without outside help.

US sharing of intelligence with India in border clash with China seen as pivotal in partnership

Why did India chose to join the QUAD and survey the Malacca straits for a potential blockade of Chinese ships carrying fuel?
USA does expect an equal partnership and alliance with many countries including India which once begged the USA for food. Under the PL-480 scheme the USA reached out and sent food saving millions from starvation.
What it gets in return is abuse and threats.

If India has an independent foreign policy why has India reduced the import of oil from Russia?

So why doesn't India increase the import of oil from Russia?

Wil it act on the command of its most important ally in the Middle East to take out the nuclear assets of Pakistan?

Saar, we’ll do whatever gets us more money, more jobs, and more growth.
That includes buying Russian oil, bargaining hard on tariffs, hedging risks, and giving in if enough carrots are dangled. We’re a baniya nation, ideology comes after the balance sheet.

Whatever you posting - are making any sense?

What these relationship with indian independent foreign policies?

Isn't I said already, india and USA are strategic alliances because of Chinese borders extension aggressive policy.

@Baibers_1260

Thanks for the info. Apart from Russian oil, almost every other oil is purchased in USD.

Regards
A common sense:

China's imports of oil from countries such as Russia (starting from 2015), Iran (starting from 2021), Saudi Arabia (starting from 2022), the United Arab Emirates (starting from 2022), Qatar (starting from 2022), Kuwait (starting from 2022), Oman (starting from 2022), Bahrain (starting from 2022), Angola (starting from 2023), etc. are settled in CNY.

As for India, it was among the last countries to stop buying oil from Iran
Please watch the data report of the Qingdao Customs in Shandong, China, which imports more than 1 million barrels of oil from Iran per day. China has not interrupted its oil trade with Iran.

Lol! India isn't. Venuzuelan crude will be bought at cheap rates or we ain't buying. We will import Russian oil if it's cheap.
Venezuela's oil is definitely not cheaper than oil from countries like Iran, and Venezuela's oil is heavy oil with poor quality. Because if Venezuela's oil is cheaper, the Indian government will consciously buy Venezuela's oil instead of waiting until Trump puts pressure on it to do so.

I know it.
I meant that, Pakistan stopped importing Iranian oil around 2009, making it one of the first countries to comply under U.S. pressure. In contrast, India continued buying Iranian oil until 2019—nearly a decade longer—even while facing sustained pressure from the United States. This is why India can be considered one of the last major countries to stop importing Iranian oil

Difference is Pakistan makes no illusions of defying the US, India does, and as we have seen, it can be Trump's bitch eventually....
What are you saying? Pakistan is always America's bitch

Trump says India will buy oil from Venezuela instead of Iran
United States President Donald Trump said on Saturday that India will buy oil from Venezuela instead of Iran, Reuters reported.

“We’ve already made that deal, the concept of the deal,” he told reporters.

The Ministry of External Affairs has not yet commented on the matter.

Trump said that China was also “welcome” to make a deal with the US on purchasing oil.

Didn't India end its purchases of Iranian oil 20 years ago in return for a civil nuclear agreement?

I understand you may have comprehension disabilities. Read my response below.
What these relationship with indian independent foreign policies?
You asked if this 1962
Are we living in 1962
My response.: No, we are not time travelers, this is the year 2025
Comparing the India USA "relationship " against China since 1962 to the present reveals that it is not a "strategic partnership " but an Indian dependency on the USA.
Isn't I said already, india and USA are strategic alliances because of Chinese borders extension aggressive policy.
Begging for weapons and direct air support from the USA ( 1962 ) and begging for intelligence sharing, satellite surveillance, (2020) against China is not a "strategic partnership ". It is plain and simple begging.
A strategic partnership would be defined if India reciprocated the support it has received from the USA
Joining military actions in defense of USA would be a true strategic partnership which many smaller countries, like the UK do. Example : The USA supported the UK in its war with Argentina (1982) over the Falkland Islands and the UK has fought alongside the USA in Iraq, Afghanistan,, and Syria. Likewise Pakistan fought the Soviet Union in Afghanistan supporting the US position.

India wants US support without giving anything in return. That is not a "strategic relationship " , but begging or swindling,, or actually both. The USA has got NOTHING from India in return for the economic and military support it has given against China.
