Tughril-Class (Type 054A/P) Frigate | Updates & Discussion

if SMASH is updated C400 then it has to be more than 500km, based on dimension and size got to be 700-1000km just an assumption
not a 1000...also it is not an updated cm 400...

It has nothing to do with CM400. It's a navalized Fatah-2. Actually based on their dimensions and weight both Fatah-2 and SMASH have lesser range than they should have when compared to other rockets/ballistic missiles. I assume they are trading range for higher speeds and evasive trajectories rather than a purely ballistic approach.

To hit anti ship missile with 3 nines probabilty it will take 7 of these sam missiles consider single missile privabily of 0 67 against anti ship missile. However, we do not know if anti ship missile mentioned above is super sonic or sub sonic

Should have gotten a follow up "4" Ship order these have proper number of Missiles on it, also Chinese delivery time is quite fast and predictable

Yep, follow up of Type-54As with following updates:

- HHQ 16 FE (Designed for saturation attacks & longer range 160 kms)
- 1 HHQ-10 would be a bonus. There's space over hangar.
- Towed Array Sonar.

Or go for Type-54Bs that has all of above anyways. Would love if PN goes for 52D export variation but i doubt that we would have that much budget.

This is a good read. No idea why PN went with SARH LY-80N?

It is indeed hard to understand. In fact, the fire control radar chosen is an old model that China had already stopped equipping on the Type 054A as early as 2015. It is puzzling why, when the contract was signed in 2017, such a radar — one that had already ceased to be installed on new Type 054A frigates — was selected
