I think the fact Türkiye is trying to establish air base tells me they won't be giving up any time soon. However if they dont deploy air defences and fighter jets then its a folly to try and secure Syria atleast in the short term.Israel just drew a from red line in the sand.
Quite a firm line at that.
No Turkish bases in Syria, period.
And I don’t see Turkiye challenging Israel on that line in Syria. No clandestine bases or formal bases will be allowed and Turkiye should accept that reality.
Syria will at most be allowed an armed milita for local security and that will be it, I don’t see Israel allowing anything more than that being allowed to develop in Syria.
