Link 16 is good, but I hope they also designed it for a scenario when for "reasons" a proprietary Turkish only or a Turkish "Friends only" Data link is needed and it needs to stop using Link 16 and not transfer and share information. lol
 
Going forwards Turkey needs to build out the Anti Ballistic Missile defense with indigenous tech and phase out the foreign deployments in Turkey, Including the Patriots, SAMP-T and THAAD and other early warning equipment. With completely domestic equivalents.

Looking at the region overall, relying on a foreign state for your air defense, or even having the deployment of foreign air defense can be a liability and make you a target for those who have grievances with those states. And as we have seen, in many circumstances they use you as a shield rather than the other way around. It can even be an avenue for potential sabotage.

The Nuclear Weapons sharing is probably not something that will be touched, and there are merits for that deployment, but the air defense picture and signals intelligence should be completely controlled by Turkey, and sovereign in all scopes, from the equipment to the personel to the ecosystem.

The SİPER anti-ballistic Missile, capable of intercepting short range ballistic missiles ( 300-500-700 km ) within the atmosphere (endoatmospheric), could be ready in 2028-2030 period ...... ( Similar to SAMP/T and PATRIOT PAC-3 )


SIPER-4/5
The most advanced SIPER anti ballistic Missiles, capable of intercepting MRBMs and IRBMs (1.000-3.000-5500 km) outside the atmosphere (exoatmospheric), with hit-to-kill capabilities, may be ready in 2030-2033 period ..... ( similar to the SM-3 and ARROW-3 )


Radars
Aselsan has these capabilities with ALP-300G , ALP-500G , ALP-600G early warning Radar projects


Roketsan CEO Murat İkinci mentioned Siper Block-3, 4, and 5 variants, which are included in the Steel Dome's development roadmap, for the first time.

Similar to American HELIOS

The US Army's HELIOS stratospheric Balloon project is being developed specifically for Balloon Radar + ground Missile cueing

China and Russia are also working on the same concept (stratospheric Ballon + Radar + network).

Ground-based radars are at risk of being hit
But High altitude Ballon with AESA Radar will stay at altitude of 40 km ( air to air missiles - air defense systems almost can not able to hit high altitude Ballon )


1 -- The line-of-sight horizon of a Radar at an altitude of 40 km reaches approximately 700–800 km

2 -- AESA Radar + high altitude can detect even F-35 stealth Jets earlier and more clearly (look-down advantage) from 200+ km away

3 -- The Balloon transmits the tracks it detects in real time via SATCOM and high-power radio datalink, and this data goes directly to the command and control Center (Aselsan HAKIM) creating an "integrated air picture"

4 -- SİPER-2's architecture fully supports this network centric warfare capability

So the Balloon becomes the "eye," and the SIPER battery becomes the "weapon." When the SIPER Missile is launched, it receives mid-course guidance from the Balloon data, then makes a terminal strike with its own active RF seeker

This concept is already the future of modern air defense:

That is the glaring weakness of the F-35, its heat signature is MASSIVE, even compared to other jets. They have been trying to address the heat issue the new engine thats supposed to come in later blocks, but its going to be a while.

They even released a video taken with a FLIR System

Türkiye has turned to these technologies, and also with the ALP-400G V/UHF Radar project, it may be possible to detect F-35s

but Pakistan knows it also needs its own military satellites

satellites are the eye and ears of modern warfare a nation without satellites is at the mercy of the aggressors

satellites rely information down to the units and it increases your reaction time allowing you to make vital decisions

Türkiye exported satellite Camera to Pakistan.

If we had the same capabilities and systems/radars with comparable specifications, we could at least reclaim control over operational data by supplying NATO only with information that is strictly necessary to defend NATO territory. Currently, the US has visibility on everything. If we had our own radars, we could decline to share missile data that is evidently not directed towards NATO territory....if you get what I mean. Currently, we have nothing even remotely comparable to AN/TPY-2.
