The key takeaway here is that even if we decide to acquire this system, which is still very uncertain, it does not reflect poorly on our capability. We are all aware that we currently succeed in developing our own AD systems. We have the financial resources and the brains; we simply need additional time. It would be poor leadership to ignore the need for a temporary solution, regardless of what some critics may say or will say.
In fact as you know, Turkiye signed a cooperation agreement with EUROSAM in 2018, but MACRON broke this agreement in 2020. The Iran war showed that Ballistic Missiles are a very serious threat and Turkiye needs more time to develop its own system to reach anti-Ballistic capacity
We have only S400s with 192 Missiles
We can not produce more Missiles for S400s .... and 36 S400 launchers will be useless after 192 Missiles ( additional missile purchases from Russia will be necessary )
If we buy ASTER-30 Block1 NT with co-production that would be meet our needs as quickly as possible and fills an important gap

If we cannot protect military facilities and critical strategic areas, Turkiye will suffer losses of hundreds of billions of Dollars in a potential conflict
If we had to wait for the completion of every project, we wouldn't have pursued the Eurofighter purchase either.
We need anti-Ballistic Missile System
There are two options: USA or Europe ........ Turkiye is a NATO member and We can work with Europe as like Eurofighters
