Turkish Air Force | News & Discussions

Don't believe a word until its on Turkish soil. But signs look good, especially when he told netanyahu to suck it up. lol

It needs to be done next year, b/c of midterm election, after that its very unlikely and will be blocked in congress. Get the 4 in storage delivered.

Seeing GOKCEADA from a distance of 225 km, the ASELFLIR 600 also said 'Hello' to neighboring Greece.

The ASELFLIR 600 Electro-Optical Sensor System has brought Greece under its coverage with images obtained from a distance of 225 km

It is known that Thessaloniki or Athens can be viewed very clearly from Turkiye via the ASELFLIR 600 integrated into the AKINCI UCAV

This brings a new level of long-range ISR capability for AKINCI and other platforms that can carry ASELFLIR 600. For reference, 225 km exceeds the range of some stand-off weaponry for AKINCI UCAV, like 150+ km IHA-230 , 150+ km CAKIR and 280 km SOM

also soon 500+ km 300-ER air launched Ballistic Missile with TV seeker to hit military and strategic targets

Israel is negotiating with the USA to reduce capabilities of the F-35s to be sold to Türkiye

▶️Increase the RCS ( Radar Cross Section )
▶️Reduce the RAM ( Radar absorbing Material )
▶️Reduce the Radar range
▶️Reduce the processor speed

Israel says its technology will be excluded from Turkish F-35s
Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel said that much of the advanced technology used in the F-35 originates from Israel and said this technology “will not be included in the F-35s that Turkiye will acquire.”

btw which Israeli technologies ? so funny

Another SİPER Air Defense System has been inducted into service

SİPER-1 has successfully completed a live-fire test for autonomous battery acceptance

In a demanding scenario where maneuvering friendly and hostile air elements were present simultaneously, the target was successfully destroyed

Turkey's bunker buster.

"Here it is, the new power of the Turkish army: NEB Hayalet. On land, it pierced through 7 meters of reinforced concrete, followed by 1.5 meters of sand block. It was dropped from an F-16 and descended 90 meters underground. One word: magnificent…"

Can ASOJ-23A stand off jammer Aircraft jam the F-35 ?

GROK says

Yes, the ASOJ-23A standoff jammer Aircraft could potentially jam or degrade the Radar and sensor performance of an F-35 under certain conditions

For directly jamming an F-35 : Possible in theory if the jammer detects and locks onto the F-35's emissions (during radar use or datalink). It could degrade Radar performance, disrupt missile guidance, or force the F-35 to rely more on passive sensors (like DAS infrared)

The first ASOJ-23A stand off Jammer Aircraft will be delivered to the TURAF in 2026

Can the SIPER Air Defense System prevent F-35s over the Aegean Sea ?

GROK says

Yes, the SIPER (SIPER -1/2) Air Defense System can seriously impede and deter 5th gen F-35s in the Aegean Sea — especially when used within an integrated network (Steel Dome)

Conclusion: SIPER-2 can "intercept" F-35s in the Aegean — meaning it makes their routine approaches to Turkish airspace/strategic points risky and costly, creating a deterrent.

In the Aegean Scenario, the chance of detecting

The F-35 could be countered by Early Warning Radar Systems VHF/UHF-supported AESA Radars like the ALP-300G deployed in the Aegean, which could "see" the F-35 from a longer range — because it is optimized against stealth X-band Radars, but weak against low-frequency radars. The SİPER's fire control Radar (X-band), however, would engage it from around 80–120 km after detection (a realistic estimate for stealth RCS).

Engagement and Strike: With a range of 150 km, it would prevent the F-35 from approaching the Aegean islands (Lesbos, Chios, Rhodes). If Greek F-35s (delivery plan 2028+) are to operate in the Aegean, they risk being engaged from 100+ km without deploying stand-off weapons.

Deterrence: Several batteries (e.g., around Izmir, Canakkale, Balikesir) + TF-2000/ISTIF Warships + AWACS integration would cover a large part of the Aegean. Although F-35s attempt to bypass them with low altitude + electronic warfare, SİPER-2's layered structure (with Hisar and Sungur) also intercepts Cruise missiles.

IF GROK SAYS.....it must be true!!

Can the S-400 intercept Greek F-16V and RAFALE in the Aegean Sea ?

GROK says

Yes, Türkiye's S-400 air defense System can seriously impede and deter Greek F-16V (Viper modernization) and RAFALE in the Aegean Sea

The S-400s delivered to Türkiye ( 4 batteries) are close to the standard configuration

Radar Range:

91N6E Big Bird (early warning) ~600 km ;
92N6E Grave Stone (fire control) ~250–340 km.

Missile Ranges:
48N6DM: ~250 km (against aircraft).
40N6E: ~380 km (limited in some sources)

-----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Advantages:

4.5 generation Aircraft like the F-16V and RAFALE are not stealth aircraft — their RCS is easily detected by S-400 Radars

Deployment: S-400s deployed around Ankara (Akıncı) and possibly along the Aegean coast (suggested areas around İzmir/Çanakkale/Balıkesir) — covering the north and south of the Aegean. A battery near Çanakkale would even threaten aircraft flying over Athens

Layered Defense: S-400 + SİPER-2 (150+ km) + TF-2000/İSTİF Warships + F-16 /Eurofighter Jets → Multi-layered network. Greek Aircraft would be engaged before they even approach

Deterrence: S-400 batteries (32–48 missiles each) are effective against heavy attacks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Conclusion: The S-400 could intercept Greek F-16V and RAFALE in the Aegean — making routine approaches risky, restricting air superiority operations, and creating deterrence
