Germany chooses Repkon for 155mm ammunition!

Germany is taking steps to increase its ammunition production in response to its growing defense needs, military aid to Ukraine and NATO commitments. Among the agreements signed with the country’s largest defense companies is the expansion of production of 155mm artillery ammunition.

Turkish defense industry company Repkon is among the globally preferred companies in the production of 155-mm artillery ammunition. The company has signed contracts to establish ammunition production facilities for the US, Pakistan and Azerbaijan. Finally, Germany has also joined these countries.

Repkon has signed a “high-volume” contract with a firm in Germany for a 155mm explosive filling facility in a project for the production and delivery of artillery ammunition to the German Armed Forces.

It will be one of the most advanced filling facilities in the world

The facility, which will be established as part of a turnkey project to increase Germany's 155-mm artillery ammunition production capacity, is planned to become operational at the beginning of 2027. In addition to traditional ammunition, the facility will also fill modern and highly destructive new-generation explosives.

The facility will be designed based on minimum manpower and maximum automation and will be one of the most technologically advanced explosive filling facilities in the world. With this investment, Germany aims to increase its production capacity in the country and ensure security in the supply of 155 mm artillery ammunition.

With the signing of the contract, a significant order for 155-mm artillery shells was also decided. Germany is expected to add these ammunitions to its inventory and use them in various areas within the framework of cooperation with NATO and allied countries.

This is one sector I'm eagerly looking forward to expansing.

Engine exports.

Tusas and BMC Power seem to be the primary drivers.

Its the final puzzle to platform independence and an untapped export market as there is very little alternative outside of the traditional players. And exports growing in this field will allow for a revenue stream that expands to other project developments.

what was Turkeys total military exports for 2024?
