Well they did expand the envelope. Its obviously not as capable as a traditional carrier, but now for a small drone carrier, they have opened the window where now small middle powers and states will start considering the option, its not just a thing for big countries anymore.

Well we are the only one country who can deliver drone to operate on a LHD. Everything on the market is to big land on that thing, Baykar did hit a spot. Every middle navy will go buy toy like this.

Why not buy a fresh purpose built design for a Drone Carrier? You have the money, Indonesia's economy is even bigger than Turkey's. But for some reason Indonesia only spends .7% of its GDP on Defense. Indonesia has so much potential as a country, it just feels like they don't have determination and aspirations to be a geopolitical force.

Actually I like the pace we take. We are not in rush, I prefer building the economy, industry, and defense industry first.

You know we use loan to buy weapon, it is a good thing to maintain and improve economic fundamental while we increase the loan gradually. You see what we bough from 2020 - 2024 period is already a huge increase from previous period.

At the moment, our Shipbuilding and Land specialized weapon and vehicle, Pindad, are in full capacity. For Aerospace, it is not in full capacity but development program for fighters and UCAV are on going.

Idk if Indonesia builds its own frigates and destroyers though. The indian Naval ship building is surprisingly quite extensive. Althought they don't build their own subsystems to a significant degree, they buy from outside and integrate.

Baykar is the top tax paying company in the country.

But what I mean is the R&D money spend makes its way into the commercial space, drone development for commercial matter, aerospace for commercial matters, Aselsan being able to expand its portfolio on sensors and equipment based on R&D on the military side. Its a basis for building technical knowhow. It works the other way as well, engine and vehicle development by BMC Power that can be applied from civilian to military,
