The T70 Program which had been delayed due to CAATSA and export license issues, has resumed with an additional package agreement

"Since the end users are the Ministry of National Defense, Air Force, Land Forces, and Gendarmerie, we made some changes to the contract. Following discussions with Sikorsky, the US administration, and Turkish authorities, a solution was found

The program is now being executed again.Under the program, 38 Helicopters have been completed to date, and with 39 new Helicopters, the total will reach 77. If needed, the option for 32 additional Helicopters can also be exercised, allowing the originally planned 109 Helicopters to be completed."

They should accelerate the T925 project. That I think would be better than buying/license building helicopters from Sikorsky for the long term

First, let TAI produce and deliver 109 T-70 Helicopters

in an interview with SAHA İstanbul in january 2026, TUSAS CEO Mehmet Demiroğlu stated that T925’s maiden flight is planned to be conducted in 2026 with the deliveries scheduled for 2028-2030
