No official news, The Civilian T925 we did get official news on, thats going to be redesigned to use the General Electric T700 in place of the Ukranian engine. And both the 925 and the 929 were supposed to share the same powerplant.

I believe its been shelved(or being redesigned) b/c of engine procurement issues as the previous engine was a Ukrainian TV3-117/VK 2500, some redesign may be needed as the engine supply for mass production is likely affected b/c of the Ukraine war.

- We had already made an investment for the Skorsky S70, i mean T70. When the US dynamited the T70 project, the T925 project was started so that the investments would not be wasted and because we would need a helicopter equivalent to the S70 in the future. Therefore, there will be no need for much financial resources, because the expenses have already been made.

- The Gökbey development project is about to end, so the human resources there will be wasted if the T925 project is not started. Therefore, there will be no human resources problem.

- As for orders, we alone need more than 600 T925s. I am sure that we will receive many orders from other countries.

- The only problem I can see is the engine problem. The TS-3000 engine should enter mass production so that the T925 project can gain meaning.

There is no TS3000 engine project. Can't it fly with the TS1400 engine? Can't we install four of them?

There is a TS-3000 project. But it is not disclosed at what stage it is and which engine it is "inspired" by.

The TS-3000 engine will either be similar to the T700, OR some kind of Ukrainian engine produced with modern materials and technology.

Light and Medium helicopters there is a very significant market for and there are crossover products in both civilian and military use. If it was a heavy helicopter like a sea king or a Chinook, I would probably say maybe its better use resources elsewhere, as those aren't built in high volume but light and medium, there is a lot of production.

When you look at how many T-70s and the S-70s Turkey is operating and all the other black hawk derivatives and other medium transport helicopters across all the Turkish military and govt agencies, that alone justifies building an equivalent IMO. Turkey in the future will need many more helicopters, and why pay a licensing fee for more T-70s or import when the capacity exists to build your own.

There is a significant market for Medium Utility Helicopters, and the drivetrain is the same as that of an apache type helicopter which Turkey is building with the T929. So a lot of crossover use for the drivetrain.

Right now, the Medium transport segment is booming, so I think it makes sense, especially if Turkey builds its own engine, which there frankly aren't a lot of.

This is the engine its going to compete with, its also a 3,000 shp engine.

Its the Successor to the GE T700, going forward T901s are going to be used on new Black Hawks produced, and older Black Hawks are set to be reengined.

I think they should put it into production straight away, and not wait for the domestic engine, and start production with the T700-TEI-701D thats being license built for the previous T-70 contract. Then when the engine is ready, swap the new engine into the production.
