Navy Commander Rear Admiral Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Uçar, Commander of Naval Technical Command of the Turkish Naval Forces, announced that Turkey's national aircraft carrier project MUGEM is planned to be delivered in 2032.

It was stated that the propeller design is being entirely conducted within the Turkish Naval Forces, while it was conveyed that the goal is to develop a quiet propeller with an efficiency exceeding 70 percent.

I remember around 2011 I read in Warship magazine that Turkey will build 2 xLST with option for 2 more

didn't know we had to wait till 2026

now lets hope a second LHD is also ordered

that will give Turkey a very good Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) built around 2 x LHD + 4 x LST

EXCLUSIVE NEWS | 2 New ISTIF class Frigates to be Built!


The aggressive activities of the Turkish defense industry in the military shipbuilding sector continue.The TCG ISTANBUL (F-515) Frigate, built under the MILGEM Project, is currently serving actively.

Construction activities for the other Ships of the ISTIF class F-516, F-517, F-518, F-519, F-520, F-521 and F-522 are proceeding simultaneously.

According to information obtained by SavunmaSanayiST, construction activities for 2 Frigates to replace the F-519 and F-521 frigates to be exported to Indonesia will officially commence in a few days.

Thus, Turkiye will be constructing 9 Frigates simultaneously under just the ISTIF-Class Frigate Project.

Currently, Turkiye is demonstrating leading performance within NATO by simultaneously constructing around 50 military naval platforms.
