Turkish UAV/UCAV Projects

Than it's probably in the KIZILELMA category?

Kizilelma C in Theory.

Its Basically Anka vs TB2 type situation. One is built by a govt company and one is built by a private company.

There is some overlap, but I think roles may end up being a bit different.

TAI is building a traditional Wing Man that accompanies a 5th/6th gen fighter , while Baykar is shooting shooting for the moon or more appropriately going for the "red apple" with a standalone system.

When will Kizil Elma go into mass production?

They are planning to deliver first KE in 2025, untill it is matured i do not think the army is going to buy it. Ther are a lot of sub parts not ready, radar, EOTS Toygun, engine. So before that they are going to feedback and update KE. After that mass production.

BAykar did take the first step for a UCAV fighter and people are waiting for mass production :p.

Aren't they planning on using their own engines?

As you know BAYKAR using Ukranian Engine for KIZILELMA
Even BAYKAR has started building a factory near Kyiv-Ukraine where it will manufacture UCAVs

and BAYKAR said that we will develop gas turbine engine for KIZILELMA in 5 years most likely with helping from Ukraine

The company was founded in 2019 to take forward BAYKAR Tech ( Turkiye ) and Ukrspecexport ( Ukraine ) existing know-hows and assets, into a greater value with the mutual collaboration.

  • Turbine Engines for UAVs
  • Guided Ammunition
  • Missile Systems
  • Electronic Warfare Systems

BAYKAR is acting very quickly and allocating a portion of the billions of dollars it earns from exports to R&D, and creating its own ecosystem, including engines

Turkiye is one of the leading countries in the world for unmanned stealth Fighter Jet technologies

Countries such as USA , Turkiye , Russia , China , France , The UK develops unmanned stealth Fighter Jets

KIZILELMA and ANKA-4 from Turkiye

The KAAN is Turkiye's future stealth fighter Jet will focus on combat alongside unmanned stealth Fighter Jets in 2030s

-- Stealth technology
-- AESA Radar , EOTS and IRST
-- Internal weapon bays for stealth flight capability
-- AI supported high-capacity networking
-- Increased range BVR Missiles
-- Full data-to-decision (D2D) capability to operate together with manned and unmanned stealth Fighter Jets

Imagine , ANKA-4 escort KAAN in BVR combat against enemy Fighter Jet

With AI supported 8 GOKHAN ramjet powered long range air to air missiles are fired at the enemy Fighter Jets and communicate with each other to decide who will attack which enemy

4,5 gen Fighters like F-15 , F-16V , RAFALE , Eurofighter , SU-35 , J-10C have no any chance in BVR combat

Also ANKA-3 flying-wing stealth UCAV for deep strike and SEAD-DEAD role

And there will be a few countries in the world that can produce its own futuristic technology to send it to the battlefield, and one of them is Türkiye

Also Turkiye gets its own turbofan engine technology to power the ANKA-3/4 unmanned stealth Fighter Jets

TEI TF-6.000 and TF-10.000 turbofan engines
