The first a satellite launch facility in Africa will be established in Somalia this year.

Somalia is blessed with a very strategic location that is on the mouth of red sea and this is a gateway that connects east and west together through suez canal.....
Turkiye military presence in Somalia under erdogan will be a serious threat for all nations...... far bigger threat than Yemen.....

Threat? Turkey is a respected NATO member and an important figure in world politics. You must be stupid if you think Turkey will shoot down the ships.

Off course Turkiye is not some ragtag country like Yemen.... when I say it's far bigger threat than Yemen it means Turkiye has far more better options than illiterate Yemen to project its power and tighten the grip on this strategically important corridor..... erdogan has a habit of poking his nose into the matters which are not even remotely connected with Turkiye..... for example he talks openly against India and sides our enemies..... repercussions of Turkiye military presence in Somalia may have disastrous effects on India,.... not necessarily they will shoot down our cargoes but they can exploit their control on this corridor in a more efficient ways than Yemen can even think about.....

You are talking nonsense. Turkey will do nothing to Indian ships.

Turkey has been helping Somalia for years. We are training their soldiers to build a new army. The country has a serious terrorism problem.

With Turkey in Somalia, the terrorism problem will end and the piracy problem will end. We help stabilize the region

I am now getting to understand what kind problem you guys have next to you...

Things are getting worse in Somalia. Terrorists close in on the capital. Turkey has sent 2 Akinci. Sudan has a strong army discipline, but the army in Somalia is very bad and the army structure has not been established.

I hope it is fake news. I can't accept Turkish soldiers fighting in Somalia.

I have no faith in Somalia's ability to build a proper army. Just as the army in Afghanistan fled and handed the country over to the Taliban, they could hand it over to Al-Shabaab.

There are strategic interests in Somalia. Turkish Soldiers are not going to be fighting, their role will be similar to that in Libya where they helped stabilize the Libyan govt. Which is to provide support via Artillery, Air Power and help with Special operations advising, the bulk of the fighting force will be Somali.

Somalia is critical for Ballistic Missile development and the Spaceport as well as its strategic location in the Horn of Africa. There are also offshore Oil and Gas investments.

Turkey has been milking Somalia without any discernible contributions. Good to see Turkey aim to put its money where its mouth is. So far, Turkey has engaged in symbolic gestures rather than genuine contributions. It keeps extracting resources while putting substantially less than other countries while reaping all benefits.
