You underestimating vishakhapattnam warship just because 32 VLS and not looking at its state of an art Barak system, MF-STAR radar and now almost 900 kms Brahmos?? You are talking about your future projects

But if Indian navy and Turkish navies collided today or tomorrow Indian navy with harpoon, excocets, 900 kms supersonic Brahmos and if needed flankers can show up with air launched Brahmos will start eating up Turkish navy in no time..... don't forget our ASW warfare with P8s and Romeos is now far ahead of Turkish navy...... apart from this we will have those crazy naval fulcrums as well to harrase Turkish navy..... I'm not even talking about our Kilos , Scorpenes, HDWs and SSBNs.....

Agree with most of your post but I respectfully don't agree with the point that India doesn't have a requirement for ship in the class of 055..... India has long 3 ocean coastlines Arabian sea in west, IOR in the south and bob in east with 1000s of islands and Andaman islands are actually 1000s of miles away from mainland..... in order to protect such large region with powerful navies lurking around we definitely have a requirement for powerful ships like 055.....

We lack building capacity for 055 class?? That's highly debatable..... when we can build aircraft carrier and nuclear submarines and vishakhapattanam warships I doubt we can't build a large destroyers.....

The core purpose of 055 is to act as a hub for fleet CEC.

The Indian fleet has no CEC capability and the Indian Navy has a small budget.

Indian Navy should buy more air defence destroyers with the budget of these.

China's 052DL cost 3 billion CNY ($416 million), while India's Project 15B cost $1.3 billion. China's 055 cost 6 billion CNY ($833 million). So, is the Indian Navy willing to spend $2.6 billion to build one Indian version of the 055? or two Project 15Bs?

The information you post is referred to as "Relay Navigation", not CEC.

I said fleet CEC, not two warships. If you mean two warships CEC, Bangladesh's 053H3 can do it all.

Further help arrives with 4 Talwar Batch 3 class ships that are reportedly being fitted with Shtil VLS as seen on their sister Admiral Grigorovich class frigates and variants of which are used by Pakistani Type 054AP and Chinese Type 054A frigates. This gives 15 more vessels with up-to-date AD systems.

You're bragging about the Mach 2 barak 8. Besides the F18, is there a modern fighter in this world that is slower than the barak 8? F35?
