Agreed, maybe because the huge loose, Russia would eventually revamp the PakDa or FAL of Tu160M2.Strategic bombers are needed to reach enemy beyond regional airspace, you can't attack USA or Japan with drones, drones don't have a intercontinental range, It only good for nearby conflicts and don't tell me ICBMs can reach enemy at intercontinental range, yes they are but their trajectories can easily be predictable and can intercepted by advanced ABM systems
Yes they are, don't lives in your utopia and fantasy worldNot at all. Not even close.
The simple anwer to this drone problem is to build hangers for these large assets, and to have the planes in the hangers when they are not being used !!!!!
How much is a hanger? $1-2m ?? Is that such a heavy spend for a $200-300 million dollar asset ?????
This has to be a lesson for Pakistan given how lax airbase defence is for Pakistan. Look at the Erieye and P3C losses that Pakistan has suffered.
You can bet that India is now training her proxy terrorists to conduct this type of operation against Pakistan bases.
Ukraine have surpassed many countries in drone warfare applications, they have used drones to infiltrate hangers, intercept other drones, and even attack helicopters and aircraft mid-flight. They are pushing boundaries in this domain. You are talking about what a rational actor should act, Russian is all but rational at this point.
Let me give you an example, when I was in Ukraine I looked at some Russian (Around 20) captured off some off, none of them have an IFAK kit, you are talking about a $20 kit that can actually save a life in battlefield, how much is a Soldier worth to you? I bet it worth more than $20.
And you are talking about them building hardened structure to host that equipment.
Sorry, but I can't take someone who thinks ballistic missiles in 2025 follow a ballistic trajectory seriously. Go learn something first, then we will talk. Bye byeYes they are, don't lives in your utopia and fantasy world
On Sunday morning, Dec. 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy rewrote the rules of warfare. Almost no one had imagined that the Japanese could sneak across an entire ocean to attack an “impregnable fortress,” as U.S. strategists had described Hawaii. Yet that is just what they did.
In the process, the Ukrainians revealed a vulnerability that should give every general in the world sleepless nights. If the Ukrainians could sneak drones so close to major air bases in a police state such as Russia, what is to prevent the Chinese from doing the same with U.S. air bases? Or the Pakistanis with Indian air bases? Or the North Koreans with South Korean air bases?
Strategic bombers are outdated in the drone age.
Ah, know better than you, in recent Iran-Israeli conflict how many your ballistic missiles bypass American/EU and Israeli layered ABM systemsSorry, but I can't take someone who thinks ballistic missiles in 2025 follow a ballistic trajectory seriously. Go learn something first, then we will talk. Bye bye
This war remind me of my own experience when I was in Afghanistan.Ukraine have surpassed many countries in drone warfare applications, they have used drones to infiltrate hangers, intercept other drones, and even attack helicopters and aircraft mid-flight. They are pushing boundaries in this domain.
The Air Force cannot put all aircraft inside hangers? Some aircraft are stationed outside to be launched on a moment's notice in times of war? Operation Spiderweb was carried out with the "element of surprise" and very capable drones were used. That Russian bases such as Belaya and Ukrainka were also hit... absolutely stunning.
Come on kid. This is not something that warrants a nuclear arms use.Apparently trucks were used to smuggle the drones close to the bases. Major intelligence operation by Ukraine and its European allies and major Russian intelligence failure at the same time. This kind of operation takes weeks even months to conduct. Probably Zelensky and his Europeans friends want to sabotage the talks which were scheduled for today in Istanbul. Russia had tacit Trump administration approval for a deal to stop the war but now it looks like Russian response is imminent. And the response can be tactical usage nuclear bombs.
This is major decisive development in this 3 years of Russia Ukraine war. Keep an eye on this. This is going to get very dirty moving forward if talks fail today in Istanbul.
Damn what a blow.
Drones are real pain in the bum these days. You no longer need billion dollar worth of jets to hit high value targets.
In China, you cannot transfer large sum of UAVS without proper liscenses
And no, you cannot smuggle large sum of exposive materials from outside of China,
You forgot the cost of strikes, that’s what the modren war revolves around…Ah, know better than you, in recent Iran-Israeli conflict how many your ballistic missiles bypass American/EU and Israeli layered ABM systems
You fired 120 BMs on Israel only 7-8 bypassed layered ABM systems of coalition forces in the area rest were intercepted, that's means your out of this universe BMs had a successful rates of less than 1 %
Talked when you research on the topic and then post gibberish and nonsense
