There need to be a door to door sweep of NADRA employees and Interior ministry. Just blocking CNICs isnt solution. Find out who issued the CNIC, which branch, which staff member.

But as far as I know, Pakistan issue them visa with maximum 3 months duration. This isnt enough motivation for afghans to become legal or go back. Pakiatan should start issuing year long visas to those that are actually contributing to the country and have clean records. The process should be gradual. First step is no illegal afghans.

You can choose your friends, but you cant choose your neighbour's. And unfortunately science isnt developed enough for us to pick up Pakistan and put it near Europe. So, try to live with your neighbours despite their shortcomings.

Its too little too late. I believe that more than 300,000 afghans have already used this route to go to other countries. This was pretty much common back then, till 2017. An Afghan would buy CNIC for him. Then he will apply for Pakistani passport. Go to some other country on that passport. And then become illegal there.

Half of the CNICs that we now cancel wont even matter because they have already taken passports and went out.

Have been hearing similar incidents for 10 odd years, the corrupt will find new ways for corruption. Imagine getting paid 20Lakhs to change IDs, we can't even fix nadra and talk about fixing Pakistan.
