DG ISPR was made Lt Gen. Perhaps, it was on merit but the message sent seems like if you tow the COAS line, then only you can be promoted. So, why would a Lt Gen think of professionalism etc instead he would pursue to be a tail carrier or sycophant of the power.

Therefore, judges, politicians, news anchors, bureaucrats, etc all are seeking to please the establishment for favours.

Don't know from where he belonged. But ofcourse, he was forcefully removed by insecure Asim. Nobody ever takes "early retirement" from the Lt-general position and a corp commander with eligibility of becoming next COAS as well.

It's far worse than that in AJK now. Imran's removal and the enforcement of a bunch of corrupt feudal chiefs on Pakistan angered the people. They are seen as interfering outsiders who didn't honour the wish of the people at large.
