US Defence related thread

So the other thread is somehow flexing that Orangeman may decide military operations have met their goals and decide a pause in strikes which means victory for Iran.... come again?

How does that work? Is a remnant leftover of the regime surviving with pretty much its military decimated considered victory for them? Vast majority of the stated goals were pretty much accomplished like decapitating the leadership that existed before the conflict. A strike on Iran's nukes setting the back decades was also accomplished. Destroying Iran's offensive capability or long range strike capability is like 90% accomplished. Destroying Iran's missile production/manufacturing plants has been accomplished. Destroying Iran's drone production/manufacturing plants also accomplished. What's left or what Iran is firing is what has currently survive which makes those drones and missiles more valuable than gold.

One of the goals when striking Venezuela was regime change or coup on Maduro which succeeded, and yeah many folks thought that somehow because the VP of Maduro took over it was a fail at the time, but now Venezuela at the point of a gun has become very friendly and critics have gone quiet. So a remnant of the regime survives with no capability to produce/manufacture BM and drones with no navy and air force with no capability to defend their air space but because Orangeman might like declare goals are met that is somehow a loss for US and win for Iran? That's tard logic if you ask me which nobody did.
That's some heavy copium. American / Israeli strategic goals were regime change, elimination of Iranian nuke and ballistic programs and unconditional surrender. Which one was achieved ?

Instead the US was exposed as a liability for the GCC , no longer an asset and the panic over rising oil prices due to blockage of the Strait, showed the sheer recklessness of Trump.

This completely unnecessary war could be for the US what the failed 1956 attack on Egypt was for the Uk/France/Israel.

It's funny how this topic contrasts with the other one.

Easy and honest answer: NONE of them.

Anyone pretending otherwise is simply WRONG.

B1B just took off from the Ramstine Airbase - this was the B1B that declared an emergency due to a hung ordinance mid flight in block and diverted from UK to Ramstine.

So let me get this straight... Iran's military capability is all but destroyed including ballistic missile production and drone production the whole navy is underwater and the whole leadership is DEAD and only the remnant is still alive (barely) but because during the middle of this conflict Orangeman said full surrender and if Trump were to say today we're good leaving Iran a shadow of itself for the foreseeable future that is somehow a loss for US and victory for Iran? Cht! I'll take that """loss""" any day if it helps the otherside sleep well.

Orangeman is likely going to continue for another week or two which is devastating for Iran and once Orangeman says we're good Iran's "leadership" problems will begin and one of those problems will be the anti regime population which will likely be heavily armed by then. By summer oil prices will be low again and this conflict will be a distant memory here in the US.

No, Orangeman didnt just say full surrender, he wanted regime change and elimination of ballistic missiles and nuke program. He failed in all those objectives despite wasting American blood, treasure and reputation in a completely unnecessary war. He also underestimated Iran and is now suffering from not just bad polls but high energy prices, which are causing him and his party to panic.

Yeah lots of Iranians are dead and buildings destroyed , which is of no real benefit to the US.

Oh and we are still waiting for all those "anti regime" people to show up, you know the ones Trump has been hallucinating about for months now lol. This war has been a strategic defeat for the US and has left it and Trump diminished in the eyes of the world.

Trump just said that to calm the markets. After market close he said he wanted total victory and military operations weren’t stopping this week.

I think we’re looking at 2-3 more weeks minimum. Between US and Israel, nearly 10,000 targets have been struck in the first 10 days. Another 15,000-20,000 targets need to be hit IMO. Iran is a large country.

This has been the most dominant air campaign in history. Strike intensity is on par with Desert Storm with less aircraft. Unprecedented success at hunting TELs, with zero manned aircraft losses due to enemy fire in the air or ground. Only 3 fighter losses to friendly fire, and 11 MQ-9 losses.

The US has hit over 5,000 targets and destroyed over 50 ships. Air defense has been great overall, downing hundreds of ballistic missiles. Around 4,000 munitions have been fired by Iran, and they’ve had almost no effect on US military operations or tempo.

The US is dominating this war, don’t let anyone on the other thread tell you otherwise.

Iranian drone and ballistic missile fire has slowed to the smallest amount since the war started. This is what the greatest TEL hunt in history looks like.
