US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

Two U.S. Warships Transit Strait of Hormuz in First Since War Began

Two U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyers passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, according to three U.S. officials, marking the first transit of American warships through the waterway since the war began six weeks ago. No issues were reported, and the move was described as a freedom-of-navigation mission. The tankers were not escorting commercial ships, the officials said.

The move came as American and Iranian negotiating teams met in Pakistan to discuss an end to the war. President Trump has insisted that the Strait of Hormuz be opened as part of a cease-fire.

Hazarat Ali said , beware of the evil of the one you helped...
That’s an old Arabic proverb
اتق شر من احسنت اليه no verified evidence that this was said by any religious figure

Direct talks going on between US and Iran ...it gives credence to my earlier stance on this thread ! It's a show for the galleries.....deal is already done.

Also important to note the US is now refining Venezuelan heavy crude. The US is gaining a chokehold over the worlds energy supply.
And that is why US kept the regime instead of installing or forcing "free elections." Much easier to control the VP who saw its military puking and passing out and then their dear leader abducted.

This post just shows how 1-dimensional and short sighted MAGA based thinking is, and why we are past the peak of the American empire, and why the empire of the USA is coming to an end.

What this shows is the lack of thought of the actual elephant in room. The big elephant of solar power and renewable's. Expect the world to move x10 towards replacing oil ASAP and that will make all the effort that the USA has made in trying to conquer oil, a tad redundant anyway. Guess, who is the biggest provider of renewable green infrastructure and technology is ?????

Seems like some people seem to win, even if they don't do anything by letting others, make stupid mistakes.

More cope takes…95% of the world’s cars still run on gasoline. The world’s airlines run on jet fuel. Shipping and heavy trucking run on fuel/diesel. Solar power only accounts for 2-3% of total energy generated in the world.

The US already controls the dominant EV maker in Tesla.

1 - BYD is the largest EV maker in the world by more that double and Tesla's share is decreasing year on year .....

2 - Electric cars account for 25% of all new car sales, the bulk of which goes to China.

3 - Global aviation only uses about 7%, shipping is 5%, but shipping is now moving over to electric.

4- "As of early 2025, renewable sources generate over 30% of the world's electricity, with total clean power (including nuclear) exceeding 40%. Renewables primarily consist of hydropower (14%), wind (8%), and solar (7%), with solar being the fastest-growing source. "

I guess "Facts" get in the way of your daily dose of make believe and "copium".

1. Tesla has overtaken BYD in Q1 2026 as BYD sales plummeted by 25%. No one cares about PHEVs. Tesla doesn’t sell those.

2. Which is still a minuscule amount. Doesn’t change the fact that 95% of global vehicles run on gasoline.

3. That’s still over 10% of global use. Another 25% is used in manufacturing, chemical, mining, and construction industries.

4. Great, 26% of US electricity generation last year was produced by renewables, that will be a third by 2030.

5. You can cope all you need to. It doesn’t change the fact the US now has a stranglehold over global energy.
