US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

No worries. Wasn't calling you out. Just noting another instance in the long-running and debunked theory that Trump is a Russian asset.

Some of these people have nothing better to do it seems.

If the US packs up and goes home after creating this bloody mess, it’s the end of the myth of American military supremacy. I believe you are correct USA is keeping its options open. USA wouldn’t be mobilising ground troops if it was planning to withdraw. Even if( Trump) doesn’t know what he will do tomorrow. US military tactics will of course always have to keep its enemies guessing.

LOL! So you think the only real viable option is to flatten Tehran and hang the government or something? The US could send a massive B-52 strike with a snap of the fingers. It's not very hard to have accomplished.

Why is everything "they at a minimum HAVE to do...X....Y....Z..or they are a myth"

Have to do what?
Slaughter 5, 10, 20, or maybe 50 divisions of the Iranian army in the field...otherwise it wasn't a real win or something? That's real twisted logic.

The US doesn't have to do anything....it's more on the lines of what we shouldn't do...like shouldn't flatten all of Iran's cities, shouldn't blow up all their power plants, and shouldn't wreck water supplies. Those could be done with a finger snap.

Oh didn't we hear all Iranian air defense had been like totally destroyed, obliterated, most dominant campaign ever.
Seems like it is going South with each day.
Just step back and let Israel fight it, oh wait.....

The US has flown 13,000 combat sorties. Combined with Israel you’re looking at north of 20,000 sorties. The Iranians have shot down one manned aircraft. Iranians performance has been terrible. The Iraqis in Desert Storm shot down 70+ allied aircraft.

The problem is, if the US doesn't have to do anything, then why does this war exist to begin with?

I am a military guy, I measure winning and losing in terms of the 3 pillars of military objectives.

-Strategic Objective
-Operational Objective
-Tactical Objective

If what we were there for was a war that won EVERY tactical objective, but since we don't even need to do that to begin with, that's going to go against the Operational and Strategic Objective, simply because didn't achieve anything means achieved nothing. We can bomb Iran til stoneage, or we can just leave it aside, the result is going to be the same, because in terms of operational demand, and strategic demand, we have achieved none of it, which makes solely winning the tactical side of the equation pointless. Simply because I don't actually need to do that to begin with.

US military supremacy has only been confirmed by this war. Most dominant air/naval campaign in modern history.

Going south? They just allowed 1950's era B-52s to overfly Iran.

Those were the same planes getting shot out of the sky by the dozen over Hanoi back in the 1960s (60 years ago..yes 60...that's 6 with a 0) by North Vietnamese defensive AAA fire.

Tell me about that Iranian defense again?

We shouldn't expect absolutely zero losses but when old and slow planes are flying overhead and nothing seems to be happening...

USAF C130J - likely carrying PJ's as Callsign is King (King callsign is given to any CSAR aircraft not currently assigned to CSAR duties). Aircraft also left Moody Air Force Base home to 41st Rescue.
