I find the word skirmish often banded about in the media and on socials and it grates me inside my soul. The estimated cost of operations is so mammoth, even using the word skirmish is insulting:

Instead of saying "wait and see" yet again, let me hazard a guess about the future:

Both sides will try to gain the advantage as best as possible, USA with a slow and methodical campaign of destroying all resources that Iran can use to threaten shipping in the SoH, while Iran will fire off missiles and drone to cause as much panic and mayhem in the region and for the global economy.

I also have an idea who will be more successful, but I will keep that to myself for now.
