U.S. forces conducted strikes against two Iranian government vessels on Tuesday under a new "ship-for-ship" policy aimed at deterring attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

You only know of 19 US bases in the region.

You can't hide a large military base from satellites in this day and age. There may be loads of "lilly pads" all over the region but none of them would be considered permanent military bases.

Economic siege + Air Attacks are much more effective to contain the adversary when the approach is to degrade the capabilities to such an extent that a small internal wave can topple the threatening regime from power just like what happened with Syria against Assad regime.

That's correct. People are not seeing the cracks or what's happening quietly and systematically inside the country.
