McCain's vote was not decisive. It was vindictive. He and Trump did not have a good working relationship.

McCain was a petty, bitter man who harbored a lot of ill will because he was passed over for flag rank. He was a carpet bagger who married into money the 2nd time. It was Daddy Hensley who backed his career and kept his ass out of prison when the whole Keating 5 scandal broke.

McCain set conservatism in AZ back 50 years.

I’m no expert on Senator McCain’s politics in Arizona or his life as a whole, but I will always remember him as a man of integrity and courage. His actions and principles left a lasting impression on me. As I mentioned earlier, his decisive vote to save the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) showed his willingness to prioritize the greater good over party lines.

His refusal to accept early release from a North Vietnamese prison, despite the immense suffering he endured, demonstrated his unwavering adherence to the military code of conduct and his deep sense of honor.

Another moment that stands out was during his 2008 presidential campaign against Obama. When a woman at a rally referred to Obama as a Muslim in a derogatory manner, McCain took the microphone from her and firmly corrected her, saying, "No, ma'am. He's a decent family man and citizen." Despite being political opponents, McCain refused to engage in divisive rhetoric, exemplifying his respect for decency and truth.
