It is expected that not everyone knows what the eligibility requirements are in order to run for President of the United States.

It is also expected some are slow learners or refuse to accept the fact that he cannot run for President.

Definitely would have been a closer race, but if it turns out Mamdani wins over 50% of the vote, when the dust settles, it will go a long way to nullify that argument, and claim Mamdani has a real mandate outright.

I’m glad he can’t be president. Let him focus on New York City, and if he wants down the line maybe New York State or a senate seat.

Looks set to be the next generation Obama; kingmaker in the Democrat party, IF he is a good mayor.

No, he isn't, because this basically defy all poll, if we say the 2024 poll is biased and inaccurate, then 2025 poll on NJ and VIrginia is probably out of the ballpark, and that's not good.

This is a VERY SERIOUS repudiation of Trump admin, both governor candidate in NJ and VA were endorsed by Trump and both had a similar running plaform with Trump, this is the voter in both state saying "This isn't the way we want to go" The thing is, 2026 mid-term is going to be in a mood like this, Trump would not be on Ballot which mean he can't draw people into GOP candidate like in 2024 election, which mean he had to choose whether or not he want to endorse any Republican candidate.

Now, Trump could be able to fix everything wrong with what these two result said and dominate in 2026, this is very unlikely, and the way this goes, GOP is going to lose a lot of vote in 2026 in state border NJ and Virginia, you can't have a 10+ lead democrat states next to a 10+ lead republican states, because states that close to each other usually have a similar voting pattern, it can happen when Trump lose NJ by 5 and still win Pennysilvania by 3, it's not going to be like that at all if Trump or whoever he endosrsed lose NJ by 13+ and go on and win PA for 3 or any number, that's just statistically never gonna happen, the same with Virginia, 15+ lead in Governor race, where it was -3 (Republic Youngkin won VA governorship in 2021) and -5 in 2024 President Election, you can't win a election in North Carolina (which border VA) by 5 or 10 if you lose VA over 15. That is the problem GOP is facing.

Yeah right. His largest group of supporters are atheists. Look at the break down of the demographics. He is Muslim but focused on the his socialist ideology.

Thing is, this is a double-edged sword, I will say depends on how Mandani draws, bear in mind the congress democrat still wouldn't stand behind him, and if he f up NYC, these people (Jefferies, Schumer et el, probably except Bernie and AOC) will bury him.

New Democrats movement that follows Mandani is going to need to fight 2 battle, one agianst the GOP, the other against the Dem establishment, either one can kill this movement, and the Dem establishment is not in that mood to endorse Mandani just yet, that is the issue, so yes, he need real performance and high poll number if and when he go after the NY governorship, otherwise he will just be disappeared in all those new faces of Democrats

Atheists you say? Not if Caliph Mamdani has anything to say about that, He shall began conversions immediately, the Morality police will go door to door, in his first 2 years he will build 2000 mosques he will turn like New York green just like Imam Sadiq Khan did in Londonabad

That’s why I expect him to focus on the city next year and weighing in on the governor’s race next year, so he has the funding to implement his agenda in 2027. If Dems, independent of him, win back control of congress, they could pass bills that gets Mamdani more funding as well.

So I expect a laser focus on looking good in NYC, so he can win support in Albany and gain a strong ally, he helps to win office, in whomever he supports for governor next year.
