USA Weather Alert and Warnings Thread

Daytona Beach is another department followed by OP:L. It was 30F there during the show.

Toledo was below zero and snowing.
I was monitoring the panhandle all night, some areas were below 25F, we already grounded the techs due to hazardous conditions, some reports came in with some fuzzy snow, but nothing crazy. While the TN/GA/SC/NC & VA went full crazy, the Town i used to live with my ex-wife was 17F.

The Carolinas, especially South, will likely be "shut down" today. Columbia sees so little snow that even a quarter inch drives them over the edge. They don't know how to drive it in.

Austin, TX used to be bad as well. They would receive ice storms. Black ice would shut the city down.

Bomb cyclone drops historic amounts of snow on Southeast as snowflakes fly in Florida freeze

Slippery roads, stuck cars and a snowball fight

What we're covering

Bomb cyclone: A winter storm strengthened into a bomb cyclone off the Southeast coast, bringing powerful wind gusts and the most snow in decades to some areas.

Travel snarled: Hundreds of flights were canceled by the storm for the second consecutive day. Icy conditions on roads caused hundreds of accidents on roads and slowed deliveries. Roads remained treacherous after the storm passed.

Florida freeze: Record-breaking cold after the storm reached as far south as Florida, where rare snow flurried through the air. Over 100,000 customers in the South remained without power in the deadly cold a week after another storm.

The bomb cyclone is so large, its strong winds will continue to impact much of the East Coast on Sunday, even as its snow ends and it moves away from the coast deeper into the Atlantic Ocean.

As of now, Duke Energy is looking pretty good as supposed Nashville Electric and the one in Mississippi.

Well, we survived the Long Night. So much snow fell yesterday and the temp fell to 12 F but luckily no power outage--yet! The mail delivery lady is a good friend and had to deliver yesterday and had a very tense day yesterday and is dreading tomorrow--it is hilly here and in shaded spots quite dangerous. I hope she stays safe. I don't have to even get out of the house.
I fed birds some uncooked rice. I Googled and it said safe to feed them rice and that its a myth that rice gets swollen in their bellies and hurts them.
