International Geopolitics is the same as ever, for everyone. Nothing new to see here.
Just ask the Ukrainians, for a recent example.

We dont take your kind serious. We have seen how you behave for the last 70 years.Maduro is a wanted narcoterrorist dictator. An illegitimate dictator that has destroyed his country. This was a long time coming.
Well, he is talking about the Monroe Doctrine, and Putin was talking about the heyday of the Russian Empire, and how they can protect the empire from the nearest threat (which was non-existent)Someone should translate the other’s speech and see how it pays to the audience in the other’s country. Interesting that the messaging is not really to the domestic audience, but to the world; we are a great power.
If Russia had taken Kiev that first week, the global impression of Russia would be a kin to what the world thinks of the US, unjustified but still powerful.
WOW! Americans are not even hiding their criminal behavior
Hegeseth says: Pres Trump is deadly serious to bringing back our oil which was stolen from us. and deadly serious for creating dominance in that region.
2d assessment in a 4d world.
It won't be possible to address you meaningfully.
The US is fighting this war on its terms with tools and strategy that Venezuelan planners do not seem to understand and are taken by surprise. Now that Trump administration is willing to kill or capture virtually anybody in Venezuela, who in the country wants the war to expand? The next Venezuelan leader will find it easier to change course in an attempt to placate Trump. Even Maduro was open to this possibility and nobody questioned him. Venezuelan institutions are largely intact, they can restore order and facilitate transition in power. The likelihood of civil war increases when institutions are destroyed and the ground becomes ripe for new entities to emerge and fight. This did not happen. As I said, you don't do this to force an election.
We had already invaded Venezuela, just one strike wouldn't do anything in negotiation unless you are saying Trump is ready tocommit us into this quamire because what it does is only going to heighten the security for venezuela and for the regime to have a tighter grip on the country (Which they already did) it wouldn't do anything else unless there are subsequent operation.
